Arsenal going on a nice little run at the moment. I was fearing relegation the way they were playing a couple of months ago

Taking a bit of time for all the new names to gel, I think... still desperately need some proper defenders though. Apart from Vermaelen, has Wenger ever managed to satisfactorily replace the back four? Cole, I guess, but he's more attack-minded and we couldn't keep him anyway.

I get worried every time an opposing player gets the ball, no matter what side it is. Leaky as your Mum's incontenence pants.

Really beginning to enjoy football again (Birmingham City) after the dross of last season. Finally playing some decent, attacking football, scoring goals, winning games, and also top of our group in the Europa League. 8)

anyone been reading about this new elite player performance plan introduced into the football league for under 18 transfers? Seems like a really bad idea to me. You are just going to get premier clubs taking punts on any half decent young player because they will be able to get them so cheap. Plus there are a lot of clubs who survive because of their ability to train players up through the youth system. It means the returns are going to be a lot smaller for them.

Article here on it http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15448999.stm

yeah im not impressed, basically means smaller clubs lose a lot of their income as well as depriving them of players who could do a lot for them as prem teams will snap up any under-18 who *could* make it

only a matter of time before leagues one and two become amateur methinks

That's how Saints have been doing so well recently; Walcott & Chamberlain made close to £25m between them :?

I'd say Koscielny has played a big part. Guy has been a beast lately
