Fair play to the guy. Not really into his sound, I can only handle it in small doses, but he seems like a pretty down to earth dude and deserves the nominations mainly due to his work ethic.

but yes, i have to agree with comments that its just the grammys... music version of the oscars, where all the record exec's get together to pat eachother on the back and say "wow, you've really made alotta money off this schmuck"
