Alien is the one for all the same reasons everyone else sharing the sentiment said.

This Prometeus film though! This is my first time hearing about it, and I usually don't give any second looks to Hollywood films.
This one got m though. I might see this shit in theaters.

This really sold it for me --
During production, Ridley Scott kept the use of computer-generated imagery as low as possible, using CGI mainly in space scenes; Scott recalled advice VFXpert Douglas Trumbull gave him on the set of Blade Runner: "If you can do it live, do it live", and also claimed that practical VFX was more cost-effective than digital VFX.
This is sooo important to me. I hate the mass over overkill of using CGI in films these days.

I've always bashed Alien but thats cause I didn't like it last time I watched it which was a very long time ago.

Might give it another whirl today like. :4:

Jeunet was adamant about the hybrid having genitalia which resembled a mix of both male and female sexes. 20th Century Fox was uncomfortable with this, however, and even Jeunet eventually felt that "even for a Frenchman, it's too much"

Motorway to Roswell wrote:Vincent Ward's proposed script for Alien 3 sounded like it had potential. It was going to be set on a partially wooden planet populated by medieval monks. Ripley would end up on the planet along with one of her alien friends. Hilarity would ensue.

In the quadrilogy box set there are lots of storyboards, artwork, concept screenplays, discussion etc. about that "wooden planet" script. Real neat, but still, sounds a bit much doesn't it?
