Yep.

Brixton's not that bad. I went to some very dodgy places carrying an A&H mixer and bare dubplates while trying to find our venue once - it was absolutely fine.

Just be confident and sensible but polite.
Don't stop for anyone who asks for change / to borrow mobile phone / to sell drugs (except rastas offering herb - they're generally OK) / to stab you.
And stay away from McDonald's or Bagel King or whatever at 6am. That's where the crackheads/dealers hang about trying to hustle randoms.

As far as I can tell from my 5 or so nights there, it's alright going for a night out, just don't wander around housing estates smoking a joint by yourself with your iPhone out.
