"what's Good" is an american hip hop saying. It was a joke.daddek wrote:really sucks when people ask you "what's good".
best new hip hop album i've heard is el-p's "i'll sleep when you're dead". you might not like it though.
engaging with new music = good. listening to old shit forever = not so good.
im going to check that consequence album still.

Immortal Technique is Dope.
We put him on in Norwich a few years back now and he ripped it. Then afterwards, fucked his head up by taking him out to a feild Rave in the middle of the Norfolk countryside full of Ravers wobbling about on pils and ketamin. But he still grabbed the mic and sent everyone crazy. One of my favourite memorys that one.

just don't know what to say when someone hits me with it. "uhh.. nothing." that's a bit nihilistic. "everything!". that would be lie. "levels are high". that could work.
Hip Hop was always a big passion of mine... my first ever CD was a compilation of classics.
Over the years (early 2000s especially) I got into early 90s material, then worked my way back... the cats at http://www.oldschoolhiphop.com were a great help, shared loads of cuts that never made it off obscure vinyl.
Love the cheesy True School tracks that last over 10 minutes, the raw Mid School drum machine breaks, and the mad Golden Age sampled hooks.
This EP is the dopest thing I've heard in a while:
