I'm starting to think the line "you have to hear it on a big system," is a total cop-out / excuse for sub-par production. If a tune has to be played incredibly loudly and you can't enjoy unless you are in a certain location with certain amenities, then I don't consider that a good or reasonable thing. Some people make it seem like when it's played on a big system, the whole song structure changes and new flowing melodies are formed with interesting drum patterns that are evolved. A tune remains the exact same, though the bass might be louder on a rig, the structure will remain the same (obviously). That said, I don't dislike this tune because the bass isn't loud enough, and I feel that, that's the only thing that would really change on a rig.

tell it like it is
corn for the win
+dont love a track solely because mala spun it. thats plain blindness
hes awesome and all
but its almost like a cult here
he could drop justin bieber, and everyone would be like WTF?!? did you hear those vocals!?!? soo amaaazzziinnnggg (an awfully stretched out example, but more or less the truth)
all that aside, this track is pretty cool though. love the drums
i feel like i discover something new productionwise everytime i hear it.

People seem to forget that forums are for discussion, not everyones going to blindly love a track just because of who made it.

It's a conspiracy to make you feel left out
Again, this track isn't a feel good track that you sit at home and enjoy with a fine glass of wine. Put it in context and it's a track to destroy the dance. Not saying you have to like it, just saying you have to view it from a fair perspective.
I'm not the biggest Coki fan but sometimes he comes out with something likes this with that trademark DMZ percussion and sub which I absolutely love.

Sorry that you lot feel this way about most of the stuff i been putting out. From the time of Shattered on Tempa, Redeye on Big Apple and Spongebob on DMZ some people requested these type of mid range beats. For those that didn't cop one fair enough. For those that did, thank you for your support. When i play out i get a lot of love from you. Anyway for those that are still feeling my stuff, i got D.G.I.T Vol 2 coming soon. A few fresh one's nothing dubby on this.
Guidance and prosperity intinually!

...and what about some dubby bits? anything coming up soon from you in this direction too?
feeling both of your work. for me this is an experimental approach to bass music. not a bro-ing approach.
keep on.
(did you get my message i sent recently on FB, coki? i'm juan)

Im sorry if it is, but I just dont believe cokey = coki lol
Why coki would choose the last year, after this forum has fallen to shit to join and use the corndance smilies i have no idea. Likely some young pup who thinks hes funny. Misguided business right there. From what I know of coki hes a quiet guy, and the last thing I can see him doing is getting involved in a forum conversation over his umpteenth release.
And to pour ever more fuel on cornbreads fire, to say you need to hear it on a rig is not just saying it changes the rhythm etc. of a tune (which it quite often does to be honest, with the bass taking a leading melody/percussive role of the tune rather than a harmonic one) its about hearing it get dropped live, with a crowd of people around you, with whatever tunes have been mixed before it up to that point, and so many factors. There is a world of difference between a youtube clip, or even a record on your system at home, and hearing something like this get dropped at something like system. At a night the tunes arent seperate entities, just all part of a flow of a night. Id never play this by myself at home, hence why im not going to buy it (if i was playing out regularly to proper crowds i might, but im not) but to hear 2 hours of mala b2b vivek, hyping a crowd to epic proportions, then peak with a tune as mental as this, combined with that vocal, with then anti war dub mixed out of it...you see the point in tunes like this! Its like listening to a weird noise track from the middle of some pink floyd album on its own, then saying it was crap.

which makes it even harder to understand why he would use it in the first place. thought i was the only one thinking it's really weak after commenting on the tune in the system thread, but apparently many people aren't feeling it.
btw i think the instrumental is massive and i know it goes off on a big system, but that doesn't change the fact that it's out of key and therefore sounds terrible as a whole.
