I totally agree with the whole soundsystem being the main reason to go out...obviously I enjoy the social aspect of meeting new people and making more friends in the scene, who are all of the same mind frame but it's about hearing the tunes I spin at home on a soundsystem. That's what it's all about.

Talking to some DJs and stuff from around here, the Pacific Northwest is one of the best places in the USA for the deeper bass music. Even if I can't go to very many nights around here, I still feel lucky because I'll run into a fair amount of people who actually know what I'm talking about and who actually like it, and I don't have as many of those "skrillex is god facepalm facepalm facepalm" moments, even around kids my age.
So yeah, I think it's a good scene around here

yeah haha I haven't seen much of that around here, but youtube is sufficient enough to show me a little preview of what all that's like

NOthing in Western Canada. I told my friend that dubstep got me into reggae and his face scrunched up and said they sound nothing alike, why am i being stupid.

If you know a kid is in to dusbstep around here, they'll call Skrillex 'Sonny Moore'. Shows that they're deep into the scene
