that was N-Type and it wasn't WHQ's faulthugh wrote:it was ages ago tbh, back when Heavyweight was sort of up and coming and hadn't got a proper regular venue yet. The whole thing was a joke like. One of me mates chucked a ciggarette machine down some stairs cos he was so pissed off. I fuckin legged it at that point lmao.volcanogeorge wrote:nah when was that? sounds madhugh wrote: yes I am on about the cut.
WHQ I have no time for whatsoever either. Were you there that time Distance was meant to be playing and because there weren't 150 people in the club by 11 or some stupid crap like that everyone got thrown out with no refund (it was £15)?
so yeah, fuck Worldies.
i've played to about 50 people there before and the night still went on

I'm in two minds about Preditah. Some tunes are great, but a fair proportion are a bit average.collige wrote:The new Preditah EP is fire.

Still listen to it probs at least once a week, do my best to listen to the Youngsta/N-Type podcast, but same as ever I listen to so much different music. I certainly ain't bored of it, just tons of other music which takes up my time!

@nev
tbh he'd be pretty low on my list of top grime producers. Gets a shedload of hype though

Re: does anyone here actually listen to dubstep anymore?
Not heard anything that's really caught my ear for about
five to six months. I miss my halcyon days of L-Wiz, Skream,
Tempa All-Stars, Plastician, Big Apple, Digital Myztikz and so
on and so forth...
I liked the reggae influence/half-step/sub-bassy stuff.
Even the recent output LIKE that seems a tad stale.
I stopped going on the Dubs page (which is one of the reasons
I joined the site - Widdler/Psychonought/Tryptomatik
Yoshi/Thark & Trill Bass are the ones I can remember off
the top of my head)
That being said, I can't wait to get my hands on "Cuba Electronica."
AND I've not been to a night for almost over a year - almost
detatched myself fully from the scene and am happy to listen
to Hayden's Piano Concerto on the regs.

Haven't picked up any new music for a good while now, mainly due to lack of funds for records. Still listen to plenty of mixes though, Joe Nice sets, Yunx, anything with a decent looking track list really. DJ Madd's Dubwise mix has been getting rinsed with the good weather recently.
Re: does anyone here actually listen to dubstep anymore?
yearning for something new. People just need to stop making that boring dungeon sound
Re: does anyone here actually listen to dubstep anymore?
If people are that unhappy with the current sound, they should be making their own sound.
