because you said that you think guns should be able to id mental unstable people by there finger print, do you think people's finger prints jet come out of thin air? by your plan there would need to be a database of the finger prints of mentally unstable people...great fucking idea

you do not know the definition of physician patient from a legal standpoint... should probably research it a bit but quick lesson... this commonly misunderstood Law and Order catch phrase applies to prosecution and admission of evidence. It only applies to care given by the doctor to the patient in a medical care capacity. It's tied more to self incrimination than anything and has not so much to do with general privacy.

You're talking about HIPPA.

Plenty of federal programs require you to waive HIPPA and provide Mental Hygiene access to a state to enroll in said program. Would just be a new gov program that would require those wanting firearms to register.

When studying the media (yes, that really is a pathetic module I acknowledge), one thing I learned was how at the time of tragic events, the media will report almost anything with an inch of truth in order to stay relevant. I.e. The source has to be validated quickly under lots of pressure/time, which means mistakes and inconsistencies will systematically happen.

I think that is what probably happened here.

After doing lots of reading up on the subject and watching videos I've decided that I think that the media trying to report stuff too fast caused the conspiracy theories to start popping up, like you said. That along with a facebook page that was made before the shootings but there are logical explanations how this could have happened.

Not really. I think the government should be involved in the background checks and mental health checks but not the actual registration.
