This. Either it is taxable or it becomes part of someones yearly income which is taxable. I agree that the threshold should perhaps be set higher. Yet through doing this i have found that the more complicated we make it (higher threshold on inheritance tax, opens the system up for abuse)

@Pistons beneath: Do it, as wub mentioned you could start of with a short story of your idea, developing themes characters then flesh it out. At the very least it could be seen as a creative exercise for your music.
