Lelisa Desisa Benti was the men’s winner of the Boston Marathon this morning, with Rita Jeptoo winning the women’s division for the second time in her career.
Benti, who was running just his second marathon (he won earlier this year in Dubai), is a 23-year-old native of Ethiopia who trains with 2009 Boston Marathon champion Deriba Merga. He won in 2 hours, 10 minutes and 22 seconds on an ideal day for runners, with temperatures near 50 at the finish.
“The race was just fine for me,’’ he said. “The downhill was easy, but the uphill was very hard.’’
Micah Kogo of Kenya was second in 2:10:27 with Gebregziabher Gebremariam of Ethiopia third in 2:10:28. Wesley Korir, last year’s winner, was third in 2:12:30. Jason Hartmann of the U.S. was fourth in 2:12:12.

Officials: There will be a controlled explosion opposite the library within one minute as part of bomb squad activities.

seeing this pop up a few times today. Extra Explosions on the same day of bomb squad training. unfortunate coincidence?

Certainly seems to be adding fuel to the in terms of people claiming this is a false flag attack.

Yeah. I can't fully understand the agenda behind it being false-flag. Seems more likely that they were already aware that there was a threat but didn't want to alarm everyone by letting people know the bomb-squad were possibly doing real work and not just training.
Even if that's the case, maybe they misjudged the severity of it all ,or only had intel about the potentially real library bomb that they may have had to label as 'part of training'.
All very sketchy anyway, what ever the reason. Even the tweet seems a bit strategic but i guess this will remain one of those open ended speculation-fests.
it's usually times like these where it's good to see what else is happening in the news. Usually something equally, or 'more' important going on that passes by unnoticed.
a world of explosions and disposable empathy.

Precipitated by the expansion of 'social' media networks which aid the torrent of conspiratorial and wink-wink-nudge-nudge ideologies faster and faster. Judging from the time lines on some of the things I've read today, and tin foil hats were at their collective keyboards before the race had even finished.

Yeah it's beyond being funny now. It's like everyone is merging with the extremities of their own caricatures. No critical thinking from the skim-reading public and less critical thinking for the majority of the conspiracy crew who feel that everything must be something other than that which it is. In many cases there are purposely hidden details and fabrications, but the greatest injustices and conspiracies are right in front of us and have no need for elaborate make-up or disguise....Pointing a finger to the government doesn't equate to disarming them. Proper smh business to the world sometimes. But then i remember it's ok because on the internet, Everyone is an Expert...
We spent a lot of time learning to use our opposable thumbs and now most of us just use our index fingers

I bet the Police are really happy they've got every amateur sleuth on the web giving them these great leads.
