Point still stands imo.

the only band I can remember from the noughties was !!!
liked their recordings & they put on an energetic, danceable show
(the only other vague memory involves "Jam" or "Jelly")
there must've been a lot of others but I was so focused on producer/dance music
it was like live bands didn't register (amazing in retrospect)

Feel Good Hit Of The Fall :U:

Only band I've ever seen with two (or more at times) drummers on the stage. Put on a good show.

Back to Bloc Party, not a fan of that new Ratchet tune, but well looking forward to a studio version of this:

memory's returning...
The Necks...ambient drone jazz...great musicians, audience dead quiet for hour long tunes...unique experience
The Drones...killed the first Sydney Laneway Festival with swaggering ballsy rock.

oh and TV on the Radio!
surely the most joyously, progressive band of the 00s?
Anybody heard their trombone player's track "Pink Bikini"? Ace.

I liked Return to Cookie Mountain a lot

The stuff after is produced nice but I didn't like as much.

I just can't get into interpol for some reason. They just seem a little boring and remind of stuff from the past I'd rather listen to. Have you got a recommendation as to a best album to listen to or best tracks they did or something?

Nah, first album was 2002.

Took me AGES to get into Turn On The Bright Lights. Liked Antics as soon as I heard it, and Our Love To Admire was pretty good. Now I see that Turn On The Bright Lights wipes the floor with the others.

Favourite Album: Turn On The Bright Lights
Favourite Tune: Obstacle 1

Can defo tell who their influences are (Joy Division, Gang Of Four, etc.) but I think their style is far enough removed to warrant a listen man! :Q:

hmmm maybe I'll have to listen to the album as a whole or something but that track alone isn't doing much for me. There's just a lot of people I can think I'd rather listen to.
