Yeah fair point. To me it seems like a waste of time as i don't know of anything constructive that has come of a conspiracy theory but perhaps there has been. Of course if you enjoy thinking about conspiracy theories then fair enough each to their own but i don't see how paranoia can be enjoyable.

Every faction of society has a lowest common denominator. Reducing a certain position to that lowest common denominator I feel is intellectually weak. If you're a rational person you should be capable of disproving the inside job conspiracy theory rationally. Like, if you're certain that 9/11 isn't an inside job and have a rational foundation for that belief, you should be able to post a constructive critique that doesn't degenerate into making fun of charicatures of conspiracy theorists.

Until you do, you're as irrational as the people that you're criticizing.

Hell just a quick google of conspiracy theories that turned out to be true is a good read.
As for a lot of the modern ones, some seem to be grounded in reality, but then go completely off the fucking deep end and have some of the most wackjob spokesmen out there, hence the public perception.
