Forreal, people that just make the giant blanket statement "omg lil wayne is sooo bad, this is whats wrong with music" are fucking retarded and clearly don't haven't listened to much of his stuff and fail to realize the impact he had on music from like 2006-2009. Obviously influence doesnt necessarily equal quality, and Weezy has put out more than his fair share of shit, but dude has released some good stuff.

He's not very talented though. He just puts out endless rubbish whilst maintaining a personality. It's fun but it's not genius.

but hes had major output since daydot, made squillions, has a back cat with ALOT of brilliant tunes, still relevant, can still sell out stadiums.

but all in all, he is no genius.

Uh just off the top of the head...Donuts, Fishscale, Hell Hath No Fury, Below the Heavens, UGK, American Gangster is supposedly decent (havent heard tbh), basically anything Kanye released, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2.....

Really I'm just starting to come to the conclusion that, aside from a few exceptions, people from the UK really need to just stfu about hip hop because they're almost always wrong.
