too much to quote here from previous posts so I'm just going to go for it hope people read it. holler at me.
-Moshing- if you heard joe nice's set tuesday night... if you heard the last song of that set... and somehow can explain to me how I could not just go absolutely berserk upon the drop of the tune... no I don't think anyone could do that. When you get a bunch of people together (usually guys, but not only) going berserk close to each other, it just happens. There's no malice coming from me and I never felt malice in the vibe regardless of how insane a song was.
-Going it alone- I'm going to be without my usual crew (happy birthday mc kool ej) so I'm going to be alone. I learned how to party alone back when all my friends got tired of going to raves with me in 1996 hahaha boy I'm gettin old.. anyway the bottom line is that in truth I don't really talk much at a party anyway, honestly. The way home can be lonely but hey who said you have to come alone *and* leave alone right?
-DQ's manifesto- Seriously the moment I saw the lineup I had a feeling that I'd most likely have lots of dancefloor to move around in... but that's not going to stop be from going to dubwar any more than the lack of a headliner that isn't from the east coast of the US. For some people it's less about the music for the sake of the music than it is about the combination of the music and crowd and other stuff. I don't hate on that. I love a crowded party for the crazy vibe it can bring, but hey there are pro's and con's to thick and thin crowds - either way - the music is there. The music is what really counts. As long as the selector doesn't give up on us we'll be alright.
big up stateside crew. don't leave me out on the dancefloor alone.
BOH!
