Fuck yes they told me I can keep my temporary job a while back so I can go!
I bought the event and plane tickets just a second ago.
I thought that System will be hosted again in a few months and this birthday gig will be more special...

Looking forward to meeting the DSF gang! :Q:

The best thing about the DMZ birthdays is meeting the foreign guys making the pilgrimage. Met some well safe Belgian guys in the 8th Birthday que.

The best two sets I've ever heard at DMZ nights were the Instra:mental one, that was fucking epic! and Actress. Was generally always a little unimpressed with the sound. Saying that I went to the first system and everyone raved about that even though one of the stacks wasnt even switched on and the bottom end was coming off a sub behind the decks.

I didn't really experience any of the DMZ 8 moshing but I wasn't that near the front as RC1 meant it didn't really matter where you were in the room

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

I seem to remember there only being one stack at the first System and that was definitely putting out plenty of weight

Have you considered hanging out near the decks so that you'll be able to impress the DJs with your knowledge of dubplates?

Be lucky if any of these come out tbh

DMZ vs Loefah tends to just be showstopper tunes tbh last few times I've seen them.

Best bet for them sort of tunes is if Chef's not on a Coki hype/Yunx on some oldies

yeah I find DMZ vs Loefah to be the worst set (of the times I've seen them). Its not bad but its usually the same and pure hype, loads of wheels and no flow.

i've always enjoyed it but never heard them draw for any mad old dubs

Mala whipped out Lost City (+Drunken Swagger I think?) at the BDH with Kahn/Dub Phizix which was a treat

But yeah, generally rely on the other seleccys to play their rarer stuff
