Fantastic website. Cheers.ch3 wrote:http://modblog.bmezine.com/ is a great source for inspiration. It is also nice, because it always mentions who made a piece, so you know where to look for a quality artist.
Anyone have a tattoo here?

I chose it not only because of what it says, but because its the last two lines of one of my favorite poems, "Ode On A Grecian Urn," by John Keats.epithet wrote:^^That's way cool but not entirely true though. Its for the lit geek in my soul.
So was keats privileged aristocracy who led a sheltered life away from the pain and ugliness of the great unwashed ?
And i'm not entirely sure i've got a soul or if i have it's hiding from me, why would it do that ?
I always thought suffering was the noble truth. The passion of pain reveals truth. Isn't that what a tattoo is supposed to do ?

i can't dismiss the beauty of the sentiment because of the life of the author, especially when i believe artists are merely stained glass windows for the essence within.epithet wrote:So was keats privileged aristocracy who led a sheltered life away from the pain and ugliness of the great unwashed ?

as for the beauty in truth, i believe that everything that is truthful is full of a kind of beauty. i might not like it and i might not agree with it but in terms of different truths comprising the unique human experience, i love it. if it is truth, i can appreciate it. for me, what is more passionate than appreciating, adhering to, seeking, discovering, and practicing Truth. it is a most noble goal. Truth the noun and honesty the application.

Thing with tattoos is, will you still love it when you're old and wrinkly ? I'm picking there is going to be a lot of ugly and embarrassed geriatrics getting round in the next 30/40 years. I wont be one of em though
Your body is your temple, you give praise with what you put on the inside and dont want it tagged up with meaningless shit on the outside, well i dont anyway.
fortunately none of my tattoos are meaningless shit.epithet wrote:missbrass wrote:trust me....he loves that shit and will flaunt it in his v-necks!epithet wrote:and angry about it too it seems but man was it worth doing that because of it ?hella savage wrote:not nearly as poetic as some of yous but hey i was a product of divorce
