nope!
she is also recently divorced and I seriously doubt she's even entertaining the thought
There's a difference between what you just said and being a dumb bitch who wants to have a kid so she can sponge off the state and not have to work.amykamala wrote:z.u.bee wrote:it seems that a lot of girls think this way, whatever happened to equality???Jubscarz wrote:One of my exes got engaged last year, I think the stretch of her ambition is to get married, have a kid and stay at home with it, thus avoiding having to work.
i wanna stay at home and look after the kids...
ie: watch ricky lake..
staying at home to take care of the fam and home doesn't make someone any less equal. managing a household and raising children is really a full time job, plus some. and if you can afford it, it's WAY better for the kids. I, for one, do not want my children raised by a nanny while i'm at work all day. it's all about having the choice to live your life as fulfills you anyway. and if taking care of your family is what fulfills you, then that's that.
Most people would rather not work surely. It's a shame that they have to introduce a kid into the world to do it. Do some checks on the amount of childcare the government will subsidise per kid for working parents, tax credits, etc, and it probably works out cheaper to have the mothers unemployed living in a council property.Disgusted Jubscarz from Daily Mail Land wrote:There's a difference between what you just said and being a dumb bitch who wants to have a kid so she can sponge off the state and not have to work.
Hmm....

I don't care about that, I was just venting. She has a degree in Fine Art and a lot of potential but no ambition, wasted potential.Shonky wrote:Most people would rather not work surely. kids = work
trust me on this anyone with kids would probably rather be at work at times . besides personaly i think bringing up kids is very abitious ,you start with a baby that knows nothing you teach it all the things you take for granted ,talking ,walking , eating ,shitting , burping , interacting, playing... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
and it requires constant supervision that alone can be very tiring ,only takes a second for a baby ta fuck it self up or even die and aside from that leave a kid alone your bound ta have a massive mess to clean
(left my 2 yearold unattended for about 5mins one day he found a container of butter and spread it all over the floor proper tnuc of a thing ta clean up)

...and that's one of the things that scares me about having children. I think lack of parental presence in those early years of life has fucked up many generations of kids since the advent of the "working family". I'm not one to believe that daycare is as good as parental care, and it's disturbing to me how much earlier in life children are being put into daycare.
While I'm not advocating for some kind of return to the domesticated housewife of 50 years ago, there should at least be some recognition about the importance of parental presence in early childhood development. What's unfortunate is that (in this country, anyway) the deck is stacked against single-income families, and even if people wanted to spend time with their children, it's financially unrealistic unless one partner is bringing in a substantial amount of income.
..and that's not even to mention that this country still has no mandated paternal leave.
