Personally itÂ’s not my style

But,

I like the beat although a bit repetitive, some break downs or a few fillÂ’s to step it up n down.

Electro stab sounds nice but low is gone to quick but sounds nice when back at 3mins. Not keen one that science vocal tho, to loud at points.

But it rolls nice

My opinion

nice one $hy...

...the science vocal is david lynch talking bout transcendental meditation and you're right it coulda been compressed more

not to everyones style but you can't please everybody...

...structurally we still think in terms of blending our tunes with other peoples in a mix rather than stand alone tunes and trying different things to develop our own unique sound. It doesn't have to fit a format or even make sense

yeah sorry, me being mean isn't neccessary but sometimes you gotta be cruel to be kind...

...and you gotta be able to take the criticism with the praise, roll with it and get better for having it pointed out

cheers and peace...

I really like that tune from 3minutes in onwards what precedes it is too long... and $hy is right about the vocal too...I also like the filtering towards is the end.. Im not sure i like the beat though it needs to shift more from that magic 3minute point.. It aint the absolutely jawdropping tune i was expecting to hear though...

David Lynch lol Not sure if its to loud or compressed to much, sound like its going up and down which would say to me to much compression. But I just didnt think it added much to the track. The other bits and the bird but suit it but that one just jumps in.

Your style is what its all about, your not making tracks for other ppl its your take on the sound and its important that you dont lose your style just cos someone dont like it.

Peace indeed, is the season to be jolly!

Forget about it m8

re;dubmugga
i didtn like it at all ,it sounds like a dodgy breakbeat track from the early 90's .david lynch or stephen hawking did u say ?,its nowhere near grime /dubstep or nething close to being any good in my opinion .the drums sound shit.and it jus kinda rolls .i think it would hav been better if the first 8 bars as an intro led to the next 8 bars being the outro.
jus my opinion .

coldtap - HELL SCIENCE DEPT
http://s35.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0SC7 ... ABJFB0KL94

reloaded as it 's as close to dubstep as we're ever going to get or want to get...

BTW Nirz, we're saving all our jaw droppers for an album and i can't figure out if omen is talking to me or the other fellow

hope it's not me but i'd just like to say anyway, that if anyone gets pissed off over internet trash talk then they probably need to get outdoors a bit more...

cheers for the feedback guys. Was never really happy with winter mourning but when the weed wears off and you're sick of the tune it's time to move on

I didn't realise making music was all about playing dubs at raves or getting your trax wheeled...

...sounds like fun, can't wait

I guess we're just too busy shaggin sheep down in lil ol New Zealand to know good music when we hear it or make it...

...you're a funny tnuc J, but i like your attitude

the original links are dead now... Thankyou everyone that offered positive advice and to dubmugga for keeping the thread alive ;)

If anyone's curious to know how this tune finished up, this is it...

Bleeps & Whirrs - BIG BOTTOM!

it's not dubstep anymore. It turned into a kind of syncopated halfstep breakbeat a bit like macabre unit's "lift off" (but not as good :)). There are a few bars of dubby beats in the breakdown, so I can still get away with posting it here...

I think dubstep is "serious" music and I found it really hard to keep the mood sombre :)

I don't know if you think it's good enough to play out, but if anyone wants a full quality version you're welcome to PM me and I'll send you the link to download it...

^^^top effort, the invoice is in the mail :)

yeah, some of it is serious but a lot of it is also just stupidly good dance music...

...depends what emotion it is you're trying to capture and where it is you're trying to project it :D

nice work andy, really liking the beat programming maybe the bass/synth line is a bit repetetive, not sure, but its a huge improvement, liking it 8)
