it seems so small, yeah, but this has seriously stumped me because I admit I've always been thinking of Truth as static...

if it isn't....then won't it cease to exist as Truth, and is at best a collection of malleable truths? If its not static, does it stand alone outside of perception?

I feel like i'm missin' something important. A few somethings, actually. Anyone care to point me to a direction for further elucidation? :D
There's personal truth and absolute truth. One is you live in the rug, the other is you cant see the pattern of the rug.

so yes absolute truth exists beyond human percpetion.

Keep two truths in your pocket, and take them out according to the need of the moment.
Let one be: ‘For my sake was the world created.’
And the other: ‘I am dust and ashes.’”

hasidic proverb
But if our Reality is controlled by us (universal), then isn't the idea of an Absolute Truth impossible, since wouldn't that mean that there was a Truth that existed outside of our collective consciousness?

for the moment....going to click on the Popper article and read while eating yogurt and fruit parfait :)

edited for clarification purposes...

I subscribe to the many worlds multiverse of which our universe is but one of infinite. Whats true in ours needn't neccessarily be true in others. In that context nothing is not only possible, it exists beyond our fragile consciousness.

yeah i think tha's prolly whats the obstacle for me right now. i'm having a hard time understanding things that are so foreign to how i'm accustomed to processing.

like, to put it simply, if you play a certain game, you're used to the strategy...so much so that you can't process another games set of rules because you're so limited by only how you've learned...

i noticed that especially when it comes to the concept of time in both Western Civs and Eastern civs...the difference between linear and cyclical. But somehow, I think that's merely tip of the iceburg....i wanna see more, y'know? I don't think it just requires being open. I think it requires living comfortably in a stasis of suspended belief. And frankly, its not easy :(

Y'all should come live in NZ then. We're comfortably suspended in disbelief at what the rest of the world gets up to and thinks :D
