Surreal business coming from Chris Rock playing to 16,000 people at the O2 enormodome to third base...

Big up Tron for the guestlist! First and foremost.

It was a sick night actually. Bomb Squad were pure party vibes, loads of breakbeats... Cymande ''Bra'' was my highlight, put a big smile on my face. Kode and the Bug- dunno, was quite weird really as a b2b combination, didn't think it worked personally. Loefah/Skream- first fifteen/twenty minutes I was going beserk lol ''I RMX'' is still one of my favourite tunes ever... ''Mud'' utterly sick... After that it went into the sort of stuff that doesn't excite me much but the crowd was going off to it... Was great hearing ''Japan'' from Plastician, was feeling the set in general too.

Tron was fucking SICK though. 2005 era dubstep, usual high mixing standards and utterly nasty selection. The midnight/blue notes mix has never sounded sweeter. Last tune as well! Shame he was on last and there was literally about five people on the dancefloor but fuck it was easily the best set of the night to me... Then again i missed mala

Third base is a great venue, the system was weighty too.

Big up Rekorder, Grand, Deapoh, Markle, Datura, Guy, Messer (almost coming to blows over his synchronised shoes lol!), Boom and everyone else I saw inside. Was a great vibe, felt good to be off my tits on Stella brocking out to Loefah tunes haha thats what its all about.

Oh and big up Pinch, putting up with my blatherings.

Afterwards was fun- pissing it down and my mates in Brixton slept through my calls so I had to wait for the tube to open and... fucking LONG.

Mala's set was bless - a beautiful thing. Starting with something I'd never heard before but sounded like Jamaican classical music (someone said it was Count Ossie), some Earth A Run Red and choice dub. Out to Grand and his laptop, Markle holding it down with some water. I liked Kode9 and The Bug but was defeated by the start of Skream and Loefah (failed to follow the rave plan and overdid it on Friday). Would love to see more irregular DMZ special nights down there on top of the usual bi-monthlies. Just wish I was there for some Quest and Silkie tonight but hey ho can't be everywhere.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was from grounation. I wouldn't class it as classical, prob closer to jazz..Ras Michael, Light Of Saba (and Cedric Brooks - United Africa) are worth checking also. Recently the Calvin Bubbles Cameron/Warieka Sounds on Honest Jons are also worth checking.

Heavy night. Something different. Felt like it was back in time or something good atmospshere too not to packed. Mala was sick, Bomb squad funky stuff, the bug and Kode 9 not sure didnt match my expectations maybe I hyped that b2b a bit too much. Loefah and Skream OH MY GOSH wtf was crazy. Had to leave after that cause was merked proper.

Cheers for the track ID, I was too embarrased to actually ask Mala what that 1st track was, sounded like old voodoo stuff

Sick night, loefah vs skream was epic it's like the music could go anywhere which is kinda is the best thing.

Conference, Haunted, Lean Fwd, Dread Commandments, Stuck, Forgive....

The Count Ossie thing sounded like Albert Ayler playing with The Arkestra.

Classic hip-hop selection from Jason Transition was a great start to the evening for me. Bomb Squad brought a big old funky throwdown of loops and breaks. It's nice to hear hip-hop without a self-righteous hip-hop crowd about

Proper legends too. Kode9 kicked off with that wicked Martyn (?) track with the pitched down vocal and a load of rhythmically lush techy business. Just brilliant while it lasted. Spaceape did a short turn as well until Kode dropped the vocal of Backwards as if to shut him up with his own voice (!) I'm not really into the dead-eye stolid dancehall stuff The Bug does so that was never going to work for me in this context, maybe if there was more MC hype... as it was it just seemed interminable and pointlessly 'hard'. Loefah and Skream was fun, good to hear those recent housey Skream bits. Plastic's first few tunes sounded good - some stinky basslines but it was time for me to hit the rain and the buses and being called 'charlie' by that point. Pissed I couldn't stick it out to catch Oneman as I know that would have topped it off perfectly.

But yeah, that was very nice. System sounded good too - not distorted just warm and heavy.

ok well i thought kode 9 b2b the bug was fucking amazing. kode didn't play loads but was great, that martyn track was (i think) natural selection.

spaceape was brilliant, sine of the dub over some evil industrial stuff from the bug and just generally pretty hype. ricky ranking was great too, that new track 'murder we' is sick and his bars over '666' are

great night (even tho it's a rip), mala was wicked too

jason t brought the noise, great vibes to jumpstart the dance.

mala's set was straight sick. what was the tune he played before forgive? old fwd>> business right there.

on a personal i was massively disappointed by the bomb squads set. i was into hearin the new dubstep they're producin so for them to bring what they did to the table was a proper let down. maybe it was cos of this let down that i didnt fully listen to what they did play, but i seriously didnt feel it at all. and tbh, judgin by the crowd reaction, i didnt think anyone else was either! big shame.

after the bomb squad, kode and bug saved the day for me. ricky rankin and space ape brought the extra vibes. i hear what people are sayin about it bein a little disjointed, but i liked both styles equally so fuck it. and after an hour of borin funk loops they fuckin murked it!

had to leave at this point, gutted to miss tron again, but when skream and loe steeped up, i remix sounded unbelievable!

out to all the usual suspects and the effra gang. boom, markle, ewah, datura and rekorder (good to meet yr fellas) and out to grand for the lesson in vertical integration in business economics!

big shout to man like seckle, absolute gent.

I didn't even think about how their set didn't really have a dubstep connection. To be honest I didn't expect anything from it so I was happy enough to hear a bit of funk... then again, I suppose you could hear a lot of DJs playing the Hip-Hop night at a London bar playing that selection. Still, enjoyed it.

Yep, that's the one I remember - time to pick out my Groundation album

I really enjoyed Jason Transitions set, things like You Know You Got Soul sounded wicked on the 3rd Base soundsystem and every tune he played was a classic, Mala rocked it as well good selection of old and new, and I really enjoyed the Bomb Squad...I love the old funk breaks etc so it was right down my street, they played a couple of dubsteppy bits at the end, the first one I really liked,
