Wicked wicked night.
My best hours were the last 2 - Mala followed by Kode 9, both smacked it. Kept trying to leave but I just couldnt stop bouncin!
Was wicked hearing Horsepower and El-B also.
Tunes of the night - "Hunter" and "Torture" (think thats the name anyway)
It was mad being at The End, which I know for the old Renegade Hardware and Ram nights, with people rockin to the dubstep! Big step forward!

BIG BIG BIG night!!
Did not stop bouncin all night, (well, a bit of staggering 2..)
Compleatly lost my voice & my hearing, so a bit of a mess on exit, but thats pretty standard by my records...
Too too many tunes to mention, everyone smacked it.
Large up anyone i see or see me, i'm a bit lost in the memory department to be honest... Strobes made me wobble a bit but like most clubs ya jus move to next spot, i was movin all night so not a problem!
But seriously, one of the best nights i've had in time. BIG up the FWD gang.
BRING ON THE NEXT!!!!!

dunno where you lot were all stood, but the sound was great by the speakers behind the DJ booth! Granted there were some patches where the bass was a little weak, but I just kept moving until I found a sweet spot. There was a definite FWD vibe in there too, just on a bigger scale.
El-B and Horsepower were ricidulously good - pleeeeaase tell me those sets were recorded. N-Type, Geeneus and Mala smashed it for me in the main room but all the sets were big. Gotta say the number rewinds did my head in again though - can we just get through one or two mixes between pullups please?
Other than that, no complaints from me whatsoever, and wicked to see so many new & old faces, particularly Farj from Moving Ninja who was over from Oz.
Roll on the next one.

just been on the phone to a mate who had previously been fairly indifferent to dubstep when i played it to him
'oh by the way i went to the SICKEST NIGHT on friday at the end, that dubstep stuff is incredible'
must have been a jolly old knees up then

drbluebeat wrote:Honestly, seriously I was glad my friends didn't get in or else I don't think they would have converted to Dubstep. Maybe if they had been ex DnB or Garage heads but, like me, they come from the house/techo/bigbeat/breaks scene and I don't think that what I have been promising them would have been delivered in the same way as if they go to DMZ.
interesting mate... hadn't thought about my conversion strategy yet
i've made some new dubstep friends at uni but the regular gang likes soft rock! anything else scares them shitless

There was one guy with a pro camera. Infinite didn't seem to have hers. She must have undergone removal surgery.

absolutely STUNNING night....
bass sounded fine to me, and the rave vibes were as good as any of the DMZs i've been to....pure shock-outs on the reloads!
out to 'blipstream' getting reloaded about 4 times! and everytime i looked up and saw EVERYONE anticipateing the drop....it was pure magic to me! proper rushing! and like boomnoise i was strickly on the Coca Cola...
just goes to show there is a massive audience for our sound out there, and somewhere like The End is an important step for this music....
big up to all the djs and mcs, and the crowd - what a rave!
