MC RUMI in Japan:

Not quite sure how much she gets down production wise, but thought to point her out to y'all.

I stumbled on to this thread through a Google search, I know it hasn't been touched on for a while so I thought I'd pose my question here.

First off anyone have any updates on women producers tearin it up?

Secondly while I know historically the "music biz" (at least as far as studios/engineers/producers go) has been extremely male dominated. And I'm sure it's a He-Man-Women-Haters-Club (Little Rascals kids, look it up) kind of scenario, but now that almost anyone is able to have access to a production workstation, are we seeing more women bangin them beats?

All of my Female friends who are musicians are singer songwriter types who play piano and or guitar, and all my female friends who are into EDM are not interested in making music. I think part of reason guys are into this stuff is because we like all the gadgets you get to buy, and of course the bass.., and I don't think women are nearly as impressed with this stuff as we tend to be. I know my girlfriends not impressed.

Any thoughts?
