What was quit sad and desperate was the governments advice to cover ones face when either sneezing or coughing. Yeah, coz we need lessons on manners from the fucking government dont we.We all learnt this when we were chilfren It's the actions of a government in it death throws trying to remain relevant.
^This. Bird flu, S.A.R.S, swine flu... even the war on 'terror'. Just a mass ploy to scare the general populous into freely giving up our civil liberties in the name of our 'protection'.
Mind you, it'll probobly work. Most people can't see the wood coz of the trees.
Erm, I don't think this is true.

The media have talked it up as more of a threat than is very likely but it's not a conspiracy - it's just the way the media works. The government has enough bad news to deal with at the moment what with rising unemployment and tax hikes and general malaise without convincing everybody they're going to die of flu!
I'm not going dpwn the conspiracy route at all.

Why go to all that trouble when you can convince people that the best thing for the environment is for every one to limit how many children they can have volenterly? http://www.optimumpopulation.org/
how much time and resources you reckon they need to convince people of such thing, when they can't be convinced of much more reasonable and obvious things?
then compare your answer with the efficiency of mercury in vaccines and the diseases themselves, with the food lacking the nutritional elements but filled with carcinogens and so on
plus the actual policies also allow a selection, why keep alive unprofitable population?
also remember how slave owners use to kill the smart slaves and keep only the dumb strong ones?

Yes there is a very small amout of murcury in the MMR vacine, far to small to cause any harm to people. There have been absolutly no cases of it having any adverse effects. And before you start mentioning autism, the doctor (Dr Wakefield) that came up with the therory that there was a connection between the 2 has been exposed as a bit of a fraud. But, don't let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy therory eh?

My son had the MMR vaccine last week so I did some research on this. MMR was the biggest load of unfounded media hype in history - a proper scandal. People are still refusing to have their kids immunised now because they think the vaccine might be more dangerous than the disease which is complete bollocks. Measles kills, blinds and brain damages children. It's horrible.

Yeah as you say it is a fucking scandel. 11 fucking years of media hype based on the very very unsound theory of someone who has since been debunked. If yyou look into Dr Wakefield you will find some very shocking facts about this man. He is still peddling his theory around the USA and giving the parants of children with autism false hope that their child will be cured of the condition.

this one was just in hand, but if you want more, i can provide:

"...forced me to look into the question of vaccination further, and the further I looked the more shocked I became. I found that the whole vaccine business was indeed a gigantic hoax. Most doctors are convinced that they are useful, but if you look at the proper statistics and study the instances of these diseases you will realize that this is not so."--Dr Kalokerinos MD (International Vaccine Newsletter June 1995)

Archivides "Archie" Kalokerinos is an Australian physician. In 2000 he was awarded the title Greek Australian of the Century by the Melbourne-based Greek newspaper Neos Kosmos.
The Nobel prize winner Linus Pauling in the foreword to Kalokerinos' book Every Second Child endorsed his views.

Kalokerinos is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health, a Fellow of the International Academy of Preventive Medicine Fellow of the Australasian College of Biomedical Scientists, Fellow of the Hong Kong Medical Technology Association, and a Member of the New York Academy of Sciences. He is an author of 28 papers listed in PubMed, including 22 published in The Australasian Nurses Journal. He is also the author of two books on the subject of opal. He retired from full time practice in 1993 and spends most of his time doing private research.

This was taken from the World Health Organization's website. It is their most current update and was released just today.
29 April 2009 -- The situation continues to evolve rapidly. As of 18:00 GMT, 29 April 2009, nine countries have officially reported 148 cases of swine influenza A/H1N1 infection. The United States Government has reported 91 laboratory confirmed human cases, with one death. Mexico has reported 26 confirmed human cases of infection including seven deaths.

The following countries have reported laboratory confirmed cases with no deaths - Austria (1), Canada (13), Germany (3), Israel (2), New Zealand (3), Spain (4) and the United Kingdom (5).

Further information on the situation will be available on the WHO website on a regular basis.

WHO advises no restriction of regular travel or closure of borders. It is considered prudent for people who are ill to delay international travel and for people developing symptoms following international travel to seek medical attention, in line with guidance from national authorities.

There is also no risk of infection from this virus from consumption of well-cooked pork and pork products. Individuals are advised to wash hands thoroughly with soap and water on a regular basis and should seek medical attention if they develop any symptoms of influenza-like illness.

level 5 means mandatory vaccination usually, right? :D

normal flu kills 40.000 americans each year, just to compare

all these things happened already less than 35 years ago. almost the same scenario and actors, and it wasn't about hostility mate, it was about selling poison as medicine

also baxter, the company selected to develop the vaccine now, is the same company that was not long ago in a scandal about shipping vaccines with bird flu germs that were actually alive and kicking, infecting people

all this information is still available from official sources and mainstream media, no debatable sources or shit

decided to do some research into swine flu
the reason it's giving everybody the willies is because it's human to human transfer and it has killed a small girl. usually flu only kills the old and infirm.
because it's a new type of flu humans haven't yet developed a resistance to it, because as it was previously in pigs its carrying different antigens.
bird flu is still a threat.
it is a strain which can rapidly mutate. It is only transferred from bird to human.. there is no human to human infection, so the only people that have been affected are people that work with birds.
the reason people got so freaked out was that it started infecting humans from birds.. so people thought it'd immediately gain the ability to go from human to human. they were wrong on that one but nobody can predict how quickly somethings going to mutate as it's a random occurence. so it still could.
Sars is a completely different matter. I have no idea bout that one
if anybody follows football i cracked up when i heard carlos vela (arsenal player) got quarantined.. he got a visit from some friends from mexico and afterwards was told he had to stay home until they
