Well the very nature of the internet dictates a constant searching. We all search, all day long. You already know that tho' ... What i am trying to say is, If someone is new to the forum it doesn't mean they are new to the internet. Chances are peeps are all search experts, but would rather ask their own question and get their own answers. anyways !

You are right. This is a thread for new people and they do need to know about search.

To the nubs : please search for your answers before asking a question. If that doesn't work, then proceed to 2nd base.

but I figure many people on here, newbies or not, visit another 1-3 message forums, all of which have search functions

personally I find that most search engines in forums don't do a good job of filtering out the extra unwanted results. Dforums could be better, but it definitely aint the worst.
