Rlly? I thought it was brilliant. It encapsulates 'Heisenberg/Walt White'. Like, he thinks he's some awesome badass, and that's the way he acts, but to an outsider it's just kinda embarrassing to watch cuz he's a big ass loser. The scene kinda merges what he is and what he views himself as.

Kinda like seeing yo grandpa getting down on the dancefloor and thinking his moves are hot while everybody else thinks he's embarrassing the shit out of himself

Episode 5 undoes that massively

They've definitely upped the 'action' this season but didn't dumb the show down at all. Fucking talent.

I just thought it cheapened it, it didn't fit.

Walt used to be such a badass, interested to see how he's going to react after the end of this ep.

There's a few things that indicate he has a suspicion. My favorite was when he looked away thinking when one of his colleagues told him how Gus was leading a 'double life' -- druglord on one hand, kind and caring friend on the other.

I think Hank has put two and two together a looooong ass time ago, it's a lot more obvious than the whole Gus thing. I just don't think he WANTS to believe it yet.

Hanks too smart to not have clocked as soon as he found Gabriels diary but he's also too egotistical to think himself fooled by someone he regards as an inferior in Walt, and also really happy just to believe that Walt, and his opinion of Walt, are the same thing i.e. this kinda bumbling doofus geek chemist guy

thats delving quite deep into Hank as a character, but I think it sums him up quite well

like Genevieve says he doesn't want to believe Walt is Heisenberg but he fucking knew it the moment he found that diary if not before, he's too good a detective and too suspicious not to smell the rat

Ye that does make a lot of sense. It feels like such a long time ago i watched season 4 & ive forgotten loads of stuff. maybe i need to go back and have a re watch!

Gabriel refers to the chemist he works with under Gus as 'WW' in his diary, Hank jokes 'Walter White' with Walt.. Walt gets shifty and makes some ridiculous but kind of believable alternative, cant remember what it was though
