mmk so does anyone know the deal with the blogs that have 250,000+ page views and only like 70 followers? how do they manage that, they don't even look that spammy.

nah, the last one I saw was some lady who writes boring bollocks, has 74 followers and 300K+ page hits in just over a year. Barely any comments, too. starting to think they get fake page counters from somewhere haha.

then there's this calvin dude (http://calvinscanadiancaveofcool.blogspot.com/), who quite literally spams the living shit out of everything, post wise, usually 4-5 posts per hour (274 posts in November alone), but he boasts some pretty good view numbers, and still has 441 followers that apparently don't mind their newsfeed getting spammed with rehosted content.

anyone else getting the bullshit from Blogger where you go to your dashboard and it says that you aren't following anyone?

happened a couple times in the past and a page refresh would take care of it, but now it's doing it for extended periods and multiple page reloads... kills me when I have free time and can't click thru blogs and make munnies (firstworldproblem)

It's never happened to me longer than a couple of refreshes. Maybe it's a sign you're getting too much bank.

Just keep up the quality posts for starters, and then use this quick guide:

-Sign up for adSense now, get your PIN and sort out all their hoops that you have to jump through to get it started.
-Find blogs with active posts and lots of commenters
-Go to each of the commenter's blogs, follow them and comment on their most recent post.
-Continue until your fingers bleed.

Second, SunkLo has a point. The boring crowd are boring but they know the deal and will hook you up while you build yourself and your name up. Don't just settle for them. Once you have something marketable, market it and work on building an actual reader base that is interested and will keep coming back to check for updates.

My strategies? I post relevant things to reddit, I post up mixes done by fellow ninjas in relevant areas, I have a link in my sig, etc. Yours seems to be an art based blog so hit up all those corners of the internet and lure them to your area. I have some people that read my blog religiously and will send me constant emails of praise and scorn. It takes time but it's worth it.

Ahh yeah, I saw this before. Yeah, I couldn't bring myself to follow, I couldn't even feign interest in it. My fingers wouldn't move to type the comment
