i like the occasional techno tune, especially when its found in the midst of less droney music, just never been the one to enjoy hours of it

not gona pretend i knew much about techno before it became 'trendy' cos of blawan but i don't really see why that matters as long as i like it and i'm not suddenly hating on dubstep cos it's not hip

never said it mattered, and i'm not having a go at techno, i'm just glad dubstep is the one anymore. now days everyone is all about techno, so its nice that all the bandwagoners have moved on. if you are not a bandwagoner, i wouldn't worry about it as it does not apply to you

i like some dark and gritty techno like sleeper's new bits, and i'm sure he's influenced from earlier works - would like to find more stuff like it.

tbf Fractal you really did seem to be implying that people who are doing techno are just followers who get into whatever is 'cool'

And i suppose there are people like that. Personally ive been making 'techno' tunes on and off since i started producing almost 20 years ago, just nobody gave a shit until recently

And there are people who are just being exposed to it for the first time but who genuinely like it. I can understand where you are coming from though..

sorry you read it like that, but i assure you, my sentiments were more about bandwagoners and nothing else. i'm just glad they have moved on. of course not everyone who likes techno falls into that category...
