Two more things that piss me off.
Stuff like cam-belt, clutch etc is standard maintenance but the cat going is a bitch. Thing has been an utter money pit the last few months. Looking at a new cat converter now, so that'll be the best part of £700, plus cam belt fitting. Saying that, it has done 87k and I still love it to fucking bits.
But it is more and more like Trigger's broom these days

Exactly that! See, for the cat my car has just got through it's MOT literally last month, so if I can put up with the engine light on, I doubt I'm going to keep the car for a year so might see what are the issues associated with not getting the cat done and just scrapping the car before it's MOT next year. Could save myself £700.
