Only thing I'd add is that despite considering him being a bit of a clumsy loser, he also has like, tremendous respect for Walt and his intelligence and insight, but he'd rather pretend it's not there so he can feel better about himself. Almost as if him believing it's Walt would mean openly admitting his genious, even though he really doesn't want to.

yeh he'd have to admit he respected Walt as an equal, maybe even superior if he let himself believe Walt is Heisenberg, and he's not quite prepared to plunge into that yet, not withstanding all the extra family upheaval such a suspicion would cause

that kid getting shot was easily the most bullshit thing that's happened so far in the entire show. I'm kinda disappointed with it.

Just to clarify, I reckon they really were desperate for some kind of alternative story-line/problem/whatever to keep the show going. They've just pulled something from the deepest recess of their arse cracks this time tho. Rehashing the whole child thing with Jesse is gonna be tiresome more than enjoyable. That random guy who is working for them who just shot the kid without a moments hesitation, no thought, and without even asking his superiors what to do? wut? Meh. Who is this guy anyway? I know he works for the pest company they are working with to cook, but I really can't understand why this happened. The kid probably wouldn't have even been a problem if they had just let him wonder off without even saying anything to him.

The guy was either under the impression that these 2 tnuc's are proper money men, and knew what had to be done. Or he could simply be trying to impress, show them that he is the sort of guy you can trust and involve in such an operation.
