This song hasn't been released yet by Flux, but the bass he drops is friggen massive (somehow it sounds filthier on a live video)...I think it consists of formants and square saws but does anyone know how to achieve a similair type of sound? And have that much fatness to it? I hear the high pitched osc but how does he gets such thickness to the sound? (besides detuning, voicing, and lpf)
modulation: ring mod ocs1, RM full
phase, ocs 1, pahse full
insert `1: p shaper full on both
fx: b-tube full on both
thanks a bunch bro
pop a dimention expander on there n boost the highs in the eq n u got flux, also put another eq on it n lift up the highs, where as makin it sound fat, as far as i can tell, add bass n sub bass to it

I really need to make this type of bass sound for the start of a bassline i'm working on (preferebly in Massive)...So far I have 3 OSC (2 Saw Formant Waves, 1 Sin-Tri with EQing and Effects but I haven't gotten it just yet...any ideas? It's at :26

you were on the right track. heres how i figured it out and it seems pretty close with just fucking around with massive. your best bet is to take this and put it on your DAW; EQ it, some distortion and a whole mess of other plugins until you get it where you want it but here it is:
OSC1 - GUITAR PULSE -FORMANT - ALL KNOBS 100% - BETWEEN FILTER 1&2
OSC2 - SQUARE SAW 1 - FORMANT - WT POSITION 50% INTENSITY & AMP 100% - BETWEEN FILTER 1&2
FILTER 1 - COMB - CUTOFF 0 (ZERO) - DAMPENING AND FEEDBACK 100%
FILTER 2 - SCREAM - CUTOFF 100& - SCREAM ≈75% (you have to mess with it, there is a sweet spot around there) - RES 100%
NOISE - WHITE - COLOR 52% - AMP ≈40%
FREQUENCY SHIFTER - DRY/WET 100% - PITCH ≈48% (again, there is a sweet spot around there, mess with it.)

obviously i don't expect to get a response about the bark but at least the first bass of the drop thats made by cookie?
I assume it was made with Subtractor/Maelstrom + Scream 4 but I know next to nothing about making decent sounds in reason and am trying to learn how to do so
Bump. I'd like to know how to make this sound too, I know it's pretty generic but It's SO DIFFICULT

i forgot where i've seen this but i know he used the wavetable osc in thor and he processed them in reason. I don't remember where i read it but atleast you know what synth and oscs as a basis but maybe mixed waves 2 as a start since it has a robotic sounding feel and you can automate them with the lfo and progress from their.

watch the funtcase masterclass from computer music, funtcase and cookie basicly have the same style. Funtcase reveals quite a few gd tips

would be very interested in how to get close to the main lead sound in this track. seems more than just a trance/dutch sound.
