and there's nothing wrong with that. just as how a lot of people might never see the need to hire a "professional" mastering engineer or something like that. but you cant deny that there's going to be a very different result coming from someone who does photography as a job vs any old person with a camera. some people want to have certain moments of their life captured, for whatever reasons, and they want to know that they'll be receiving a quality product. just as how some people want to get the best master for their tracks possible, as opposed to some person who download waves plugins and said "yeh ill master em for 5 bucks each"

some people want that, and then again some people don't. getting professional photos done and getting a professional mastering engineer to master your track is blatantly different thoughhhhhh and they're for different situations. i get the analogy, i understand there is effort being put into "professional photography"/their craft. i'd pay a certified mastering engineer to master my track. no doubt, for a good purpose. i also think there is more effort/skill being put into painting a picture as opposed to taking one...

i think the point thats been missed isnt whether someone is professional, but whether the work they do is credible.

did you read what I wrote? i said I didn't see a sensible point. "Chosen in accordance with wisdom or prudence; likely to be of benefit: "a sensible diet"." i didn't try so hard to be careful w/ my words, there will be no sensible point in my life to pay a "professional photographer" .i'm not trying to ignorantly criticize that field... i know for a fact more effort gets put into becoming a mastering/audio engineer as opposed to "professional photographing".

so what are the reasons why you wouldn't pay for the use of a professional photographer again?

reread what i wrote in my previous posts. i'm not talking about their credibility. i'm not overlooking any effort that gets put into what they do. i'm a cheap bastard and i'm 100 percent satisfied w/ my phones camera period.

all you said was you dont see any point to hiring a pro photographer, because anyone can be a photographer.

i'm satisfied w/ the capability of my phone's built-in camera. yes, nearly anyone can be a "photographer" if they own a camera. "a person who takes photographs, either as a hobby or a profession" does that make them a good or bad photographer? isn't that up to you to decide?

ok, working in design, literally everything revolves around a camera at some point.
and in some situations, yea sure you could use your iphone. but when we've had boutiques going into magazines, do you really think le old iphone would cut it?

@ehbrums yea, i do.
@nevola my smartphone's camera meets my needs. boutiques going into magazines? do you not understand that a "professional photographer" wouldn't benefit me in my lifetime at all?what the fuck does that have to do w/ anything?

okay but you weren't just talking about a professional photographer for yourself personally, you were denying the utility of such a profession in general...
