I'm 6'2" and weight 190lbs ATM. Assuming 0.8g protein per lb per day that'll be 152g protein per day. No idea how I've managed to get 2/3's of that already :(

How much are you aiming for? Macro wise? Or are you counting now to see how much you're getting?

I've started counting using MyFitnessPal and it's really quick and easy. I'm always within 5 grams of each macro. It's no effort tbh. I start filling in breakfast and what I'm gonna have for dinner that night and just fill the rest in as I eat it

Just seeing how much I'm getting TBH, I've never done the counting thing before so want to see where I am in terms of whether I need to up what I'm eating or not.

Alright, fair enough. If you're continuing this type of ratio tho, I think you're eating too much protein and fat. :0

Granted I don't know a whole lot abotu your stats

Not even sure I've calculated fats right for the first one, there can't be that much fat in 4 eggs and some semi skimmed milk? :?

Nah but it's close depending on the egg. I think 8 grams of fat per egg which is 32 grams. If you had larger sized eggs, it could be that much. And some protein shakes can have a bit of fat in there, up to 4 grams per scoop depending on the product. Assuming you've had 2 scoops with 2 grams each, that's 36 grams of fat total already, not counting the milk.

I did calculate your totals tho and your calories are off by about 70.

(105+103) x 4 = 832
51x 9 = 459
Total : 1291

Unless it has to do with the rounding.

Bah, think this is why I didn't want to ever do this. Worrying too much about numbers when I'm just hungry and want to eat stuff :(

Oh well, started now so may as well go through a 'typical' day and see what's what.

Yeah see, when you get into the habit of doing it, you WILL do that but it'll just fit your macros. Whatever I do.. I get what I need, but I don't ge ttoo religious about it either. If I'm 5 grams above or below it's fine.

Still just eating when you're hungry can be dangerous. I almost binged the other night because I'm fucking hungry all the time but eating at a surpluss. I'm waiting for my next weigh-in to see if I'm gaining and can add more calories. But before I binged I googled and saw people asking the same thing... people who are starving daily and have gained 10 lbs in a month and are losing definition haha. So they're definitely overeating and getting fat. So just eating when you're hungry may not be that good of a thing :0

If you're eating a surpluss and you're hungry, you should try changing or dropping fat and eating more carbs. Carbs are less calorie dense than fat is, so you can eat more of them and feel more full.

Why are you multiplying 51 x 9?

Cuz I'm starving every day I skipped breakfast and went for a big ass lunch. 1000 calories.

3 slices of bread with honey
my own cereal (mixed grains I liked with dried fruit) in almond milk and a scoop of protein
and a banana

I eat in bulk namsayin

Hope it'll keep me full until dinner.

1600 calories to go.

44 grams of protein, 184 of carbs, 14 grams of fat

Hope that'll keep me saturated. And deff hope I can add calories on Monday.

Whey, tuna, eggs. It's like you picked foods specifically to get past that goal. :p You could always do 1 gram per lbs if you like your protein, it's filling too. I do that anyway.

Also important is to get 0.4 grams of fat per lbs bodymass, which for you is 76 grams!

1g per lb seems more reasonable given what I'm eating.

EDIT - updated for #3

Fucking mental, I'm just eating what I usually eat (hardly a fat tnuc) and now I get doubts about it because of the numbers. Fuck this.

Maybe it's all visceral fat...

Nah i'm just fucking with you.... or am I......

But really, do you still run a lot? If so then that might go some way to explaining things.

I'm doing cardio most days at the tail end of my workouts, so about 5/6 sessions a week ATM?

It's not that bad dude. More the ratios than the intake, but even those evened out!

I mean you do work out and you're tall, so your metabolism demands more food than most people.

I'm not anti-high fat. Just assuming that you're bulking and trying to gain and when you eat at a surpluss, fat is stored on your body more as fat than carbs are!

I've still got two more meals + a post workout shake to factor in though :(

Well, you know, if you're happy with your body composition then why rock the boat. I understand you're just doing this today as an experiment and to see where you stand, but would it really be worth the effort of doing it on a daily basis?
Depends on your goals and how much you want them, I suppose..
