i never quite got around to saying bye to my insomnia.
i can count on two hands the amount of good nights of ssleep ive had in
i worry too much ( losing my hair )
and think too much!!
ffffuuuuuuuuuuuuqk!
i'm just like that. Lately I found a trick that seems to work: I try to visualize my stupid thoughts. Since the moment right before I finally fall asleep is always accompanied by visuals, I try to force that moment to come faster by picturing my thoughts, or part of them. It seems to stop them from being so abstract and hectic. I start by visualising a car/a person/whatever and then I just follow that image unfold. When I lose it, I'll pick another. Even if it won't get you to sleep, it surely is a much more relaxing activity than banging your thoughts around in your skull.
It should make it easier, unless you're trying to sleep when u're not even tired. That can't be helped in my experience..
or, listening to audio-books on headphones also helps sometimes. depends on the audio-book I guess. I've been listening to Dan Gilbert - "Stumbling on happiness" (it's not one of those stupid self-help ones, it just sounds like it) and it does the trick almost everytime.
i have the same problem: thinking of a 1000 things and getting no sleep!
I've had insomnia since I can remember. it stops for a handful of months and it always comes back.

^^^^yup, it started in secondary school for me.. wtf??
I wold like to use this opportunity to say a big "die you fucking bastards!!!" to all those ppl who just close their eyes for 2 seconds and they're already asleep. It doesn't even matter when was the last time they slept
WTFFF? have you no brain, you stnuc??
yeah, I'd basically do anything to be like that. Those ppl shouldn't be allowed to complain no matter what happens in their life.

other things that pissed me off -
-my ex being a dickweed
-people making a huge deal over me not looking them in the eye ( I can stare a bitch down, but certain people i can't look them in the eye. Specially if they hurt me. ) and thats the third time this week.
-missing my dentist appointment
-hurting my ankle
-and missing my ride to work so now i have to stay home.

A movie with a "sweet" love scene in it that just reminds me of my own crushing loneliness.

I still fell pretty unwell.
Yesterday, I was sitting on the throne feeling rather uneasy, and then I suddenly felt all warm. I knew what was coming.
I leaned over, and puked all in the bath. Lumpy, solid vomit all blocking up the plug. Here I was, sitting on the pan emptying the contents of my virus-overrun stomach from both ends. Not a nice day, especially when I had to clear the bath out. A brush wasn't handy, so I had to clear all the solid bits out the plug by swirling my index finger around in it.

, which led to this wonderful scene..
this obviously led to the whole 1/2 hour rant about how much i hate computers blah blah ect ect. after my two attempts to access the contents of my hdd by trying to connect it to my tv using a hdmi cable and a vga cable (both fail

), i spent another 5-10 minutes ranting then finally decided to contact dell and try to get it all sorted

. The wonderful world of the patronising waiting music, and muffled voices of people from some foreign call centre

. After coming up with "it fell off the counter in the kitchen onto the floor"

, i found out that i have to wait until monday for them to contact me and tell me i have to pay to have the screen replaced and pay more if i want it done faster

.
arghh the amount of invaluable work and content on my laptop

, apparently i have to go to a technicians to get the hard drive taken out

*wonders how much that'll cost*. just thinking how it's been eating away at my patience slowly for the past 3months, i think i'm going to enjoy the temporary freedom i have from the piece of crap ..and have that pic of the broken screen framed and put on my wall

. my eyes hurt from all that eye rolling

Nah... anyone with a little screwdriver can get the drives out of those Dells and they should be standard 2.5" drives. Just get a caddy from somewhere (eg:
http://www.storagedepot.co.uk/Enclosure ... 3god6UqEFg ) and plug it into a different machine to copy over your files. Don't need an engineer!
