same here.
it kills your motivation though big time when you listen back to your mix and it doesnt sound as good as it did when you was doing it though.

its like a lose/lose situation for me..
if i dont record ill have a decent set, but wont be able to play it back.
when i do record ill have a terrible set and i have the chance to listen back to it and annoy myself

My problem is with eqing, not beatmatching. I dunno if its cause I use studio monitors, them Alesis ones. But I can't seem to eq out the highs or the kicks, always lurking fucking it up.

Record everything. If it's shit, have a laugh and delete it. If it's not bad but not great, GF gets another mixtape for her car. If it's amazing, it gets dumped into Audacity to top & tail and then gets published.

save for an allen+heath man - the low/mid/hi pass filter takes "eq-ing" to next levels - there is a fader/ rotary control that allows you to gradually cut out more or less highs/ mids lows + then you can use you EQ's on top. Any issues with your eq's could also be with the quality of the mixer, quality/ effectiveness of which again varies greatly from mixer to mixer

I have an Allen and Heath mixer, clearly not using it to the best of its ability. When I do filter the highs or lows, it sounds lo-fi and not how I'd like it to sound.

Got a letter from a debt collection agency today for a phone bill that we've already paid. Called the debt people and told them we had already settled with BT, and was told that we would need to ring BT back and get them to ring the debt collection agency to confirm we had already paid the bill. Not happy as extra work on my part to get something cleared that we have already taken care of.

I hate how companies seem to do this now, make you phone them to save money. I got an e-mail from virgin media once saying I needed to ring them urgently with an 0845 number underneath it. There's so much one sided bullshit. I wouldn't be able to get away with not paying my phonebill by saying I left the cash in my kitchen and was expecting them to come and pick it up.

i have a tendency in breakdowns to have all EQs cut on te incoming tune fully with hi pass maxed up on wild then like the last 16 bars i bring the hi and mids in and then last 4 bars sweep it down and BOOM it double drops together and tue crowd go wild screaming my name.

there's loads of stuff though, get NUFF creative. can't wait to get a 92 and have dual filters.

always fucking happens

i'm just going to start recording every time i have a mix and bin it if it's not good, or save it if it is. ended up just uploading my latest mix complete with minor fuck ups because i'll never get it finished otherwise

Someone at work giving the impression that they're too over qualified to cut and paste and would rather making an issue out of it than actually doing it.
