everytime i record a mix i seem to lose motivation halfway through and start rushing it...and cos im rushing it i end up making mistakes, then when i make mistakes i think fuck it i wont be keeping the recording so i just throw any random tunes in the mix that usually sound awful.
then when i listen back to it the mistakes dont seem that bad and then i wish i just kept on going
every fucking time

do you find that your mixes are better when the pressures on? if so then just stream it on any of the various streaming websites, post up some ads and then record the mix, that way you cant just flop it cus people are listening! my best mixes are always either just totally random ones when i'm on my own or when playing out. when i try to record it for soundcloud or whatever it always goes to shit!

not really, i dont think theres really much difference with/without pressure. i think the problem is that whenever i hit the record button, i always try and over-think everything in the mix.
if i just jump on the decks without thinking and without recording it usually turns out pretty sick haha. then again sometimes ive recorded and not really hoped for anything good and its still turned out great.
thats a pretty genius idea about streaming it, im sure it would stop me from losing motivation halfway in

Soundsystem Coki was on tonight was utter shite. Left after 10 minutes. Might not even bother going to see Pinch in a couple of weeks. Pointless without the weight.
Though even with that gutting disappointment, had a fun night overall.

Got laid out by some drunk bastard last night.
Hardly any facial damage but I managed to go down on my hip with so much force that it's swollen up to some next level.

Reading this when you're tipsy/tired does not make sense at all.
I thought you got laid by some drunk bastard, and you got facial damage, but still went down. Now you're in pain. Hell, that doesn't make sense at all.
Anywho, back OT, I went out. Saw my friend who played before the headliner and left. I could not slip away without getting asked if/why I was leaving already. I think I was rude but I'm tired of the bullshit. I don't want to hear shit dubstep music.

Chiefs busted up my bets this week against the Highlanders... Moving onto other codes, hopefully the Warriors beat the Titans

The headliner was playing some power tools. It was hurting my ears
Plus I asked my friend and he said he was going to leave soon as well.

Not so much pissed me off as shocked me to my core.
Last night I was involved in a car crash. My mate was driving, also in the car was my long term girlfriend and two of my other close mates. We wern't going very fast but she lost control, steering locked up and we slammed into a tree. Luckily no major injuries but there was a fair bit of blood. Glad we all got so lucky really. This is now the second time i've been in an almost fatal car accident.
Kind of gives a new perspective on life really.

Shizzle. Anyone wearing seatbelts?
My mate crashed her car about a year ago up here. She was fucked off mephedrone, hadn't slept in a while. Was driving with another two mates in the car and one of her kids (who was a toddler). None of them with seat belts. Smashed head on in to a van at about 50mph on a small mountain road. She died instantly, my one mate went through the wind screen. Looked like someone had belt sanded his face. Her kid and my other mate (in the back) came out unscathed. The crash was inevitable really, she drove like a twat, but I used to have full on arguments with them all about wearing seat belts. I'm not saying they would've saved her life, but I always find it rediculous when people don't wear them for whatever reason.

Actually yesterday but couldn't get the gear working for a little bar gig... They probably didn't check it beforehand.

we where all wearing our seatbelts except for the girl next to me who was in the middle, she nearly broke her nose. it was pissing with blood, i was sure she had broken it but turns out she hadn't. I've been in a crash before so i always wear a seatbelt without question. wearing one has saved me twice now.
