Thats 200 dollars right there. To top things off i forgot my cigarettes and im going through massive cravings right now.

I forgot to mention the 10 miles of traffic getting here :/
Man that's like a Monday morning but on the wrong day. Should of just called in sick!

Step one, drive to cafe, purchase boss's regular.
Step two, deliver said coffee.
Step three, schlep my pathetic body up the stairs, power on PC.
Four, check email. Nothing of remote significance to work has arrived.
Five, log into DSF. poke around. egosearch, view my own posts to see if i've garnered any reactions from other users. Play random users' sig tune. Fantasize about making tunes that i won't make later when i get home.
Six, self loathing
Seven, craigslist
Eight, fantasize abut exercise i won't do later. Repeat self loathing

LUNCH

Nine, return to hole. commence empty soulless gaze out window.
Ten, scratch self profusely. Fantasize about stretches that i won't do later.
Eleven, panic
Twelve, drive home and crawl under sheets in bed, wait for headache to subside.
Thirteen, disturbing nightmares, fuss with bed sheets, flip pillow over countless times, disturbing nightmares cont....
Fourteen, wake -- snooze no less than eleven times, wake one final time

Repeat.

Spent the morning on the Internet and clearing out emails for the end of the week. Found out am going to Madrid next month for a week long training course, and again in October, which is pretty sweet.

Have d'loaded the new DSF sample pack, and tried out a few ideas in Audacity over lunch, think I've got a rough idea of what I want to do with it once I get FL fired up tomorrow.

Thinking I might let my assistant go home a bit early tonight as it's Friday 8)

I was quite impressed with the sample pack actually, really big selection. I had a few ideas in my head but haven't put anything down yet. Should be an interesting comp... just hope I get time to work on it! Will probably miss the deadline as I always do with competitions

really really powerhouse synth from Spectrasonics. tbh i haven't got a clue what to do with it yet, but i'll be digging in once i've installed

The reputation is for incredible pads n atmospheres but it's supposed to be capable of almost anything you could dream of. retails at about $500 USD, so not a humongous bonus but i must say I'm very pleased.

Yeah, I'm thinking I could do with a clearout via eBay - not to buy anything in particular, just to clear some space and get some extra cash to chuck into the savings account

hahaha, jokes. Hopefully all said ex's are uglier than current GF?

w/e was sound - spent Saturaday alternating between FL and napping, and Sunday chilled with the missus and watched all three X-Men films b2b2b so she's fully up to date on the mythology ahead of seeing First Class on Wednesday 8)

That's fair enough, but as long as you're constantly upgrading; nothing worse than being caught by previous partners rocking a 9.5 when they're all 9.7s, yagetmeblud?

How To Quit Your Job

"I don't feel like coming into work today"
"Are you ill?"
"No, I just don't feel like coming in."
"... Um, is there something wrong?"
"... No... Like I said, I just don't really feel like coming in to work today."
"I didn't feel like coming into work today either but I did."
"I know... and now you have to talk to me."
"Who's your manager?"
"Jane"
"Ok, I'm just going to put you through to her."
"Ok..."
----------------------------------------
"Hello?"
"Hey Jane, I'm just ringing in to let you know that I don't really feel like coming in to work today... ... I'm not ill or anything, and everything's ok at home, I just don't feel like working today."
"Wait... what?"
"I don't feel like working today."
"Why?"
"Well, honestly, I've never really felt like working, but today, that feeling is particularly strong, and I think I'd rather go sit around in the park reading and drinking coffee."
"Are you serious!?"
"Yes, I like the park."
"... ...If you go to the park today I imagine you'll be doing that for every other day of this week because you'll be unemployed and without a job."
"Don't be silly, I can always get a new job. I'm going to the park now, If I am to have a 'job' today it will be to lay about in the sun... maybe even fall asleep beside a tree."
"Aaron, you'll lose your job over this."
"That's ok, it's not like I'll drop dead when I lose my job, when I was born there wasn't a guy standing over me saying 'you'll work in admin and if you ever lose or misplace this very important job then everything will stop existing', you know? It doesn't really matter."
"... ... ... I don't even know what to say to you, if you come in on time you'll be given a warning, if you don't I expect you'll receive a letter from HR soon."
"I won't be in, sorry for the inconvenience, I'm sure this phone call has been frustrating for you but I just didn't feel like lying. Goodbye Jane."
"...Bye?"

I am now unemployed and I'm going to the park - have fun office steppers.

Your failure to record this conversation for future sampling is disappointing.
