Lovely cart the Shure M44 and has a very tight sound to it - would even waste my time buying concords - oh and just so you know ALL the concords are the same

thats interesting Tim, they are a great deal cheaper and would mean could purchase some new ones... I'v heard they damage vinyl's / acetates less as well which would be good....i got the Scratch concordes orginally as they have a slightly higher output (7mV instead of 6mV) but looking at the Shure's are 9.5! on it...

Some dont like the Shure because they have seem to have quite a bright topend when comparing them to other carts BUT its just that the ''other'' carts are very bad at reproducing the topend.

The bottom end on the Shure is faultless and wipes the floor with anything else.

Getting rid of my copies / stuff I no longer play, mainly UK Garage, 2-Step and Grime although there's a few Breaks / Drum & Bass records in there too.

Also have a brand new Numark DM950, would do for someone starting out or looking for a cheap mixer. Don't want much for it.

i'm sure it's the opposite... they're essentially scratch needles so they're designed to stick in grooves harder than others = more damage

i've got a set of shure whitelabels and they're perfect. lovely sound and fuck all weight on the needle so minimal damage. and the fact they're super sexy doesn't harm

price seems to have spiked a bit on them recently though

yeah thats interesting - in fact Wolverine on here was selling some Whitelabels but never got back to me

only reason I say that about the M447's is that Transition Mastering recommend the Shure's on their website for minimal damage on acetates...either way damn this music stuff is an expensive game..!
