Darkman - Liam Neeson is a two-face-esque scientist superhero? Just 90's craziness the entire way through. Cool story though, as with most superhero movies, a Nolan remake would be decent.
This Is 40 (Unrated version) - Watched it because of the tagline of being ' the sort-of sequel to Knocked Up' and the cast. Was funny at points but shouldn't of been over 2 hours long really.

Oblivion
Stunning to look at, beautifully shot, quality locations, good music & nice premise but ultimately quite dull and predictable. They've done the 70s sci-fi vibe really well, lots of introspective man-being-his-own-god style musings. The 'twists' such as they are you see coming a mile off, and the last 10mins does this annoying thing where it takes every question that you had up until that point and gives you a deus ex machina flashback which explains
everything in one scene, killing the vibe of intrigue/wonder that it had developed up until that point.
Very small cast which helps towards the aforementioned 70s sci-fi vibe of big empty. Cruise is surprisingly good, as is Olga Kurylenko (Bond girl from Quantum Of Solace). Morgan Freeman is criminally underused and serves only as a plot device, complete with explanatory monologues in case you've got any doubt as to why he's there, and Game Of Thrones' Nikolaj Coster-Waldau hasa small part which may as well be Jaime Lannister with an assault rifle.
Overall worth going to see if you're a sci-fi nut and the visuals & sound really benefit from being seen on a big screen, but this is lacking substance and that
it factor to make it great.

Saw this over the weekend, agree completely. Than and one of the twists was a little too similar to (SPOIIILEERRRR KINDAAAAAA) Moon.

A Hole In My Heart. A genuinely repulsive film but for some reason it kept me watching until the end.

Tom Cruise is just one of them guys I can't watch without constantly thinking "I hate him so much", I wish he wasn't such a fruit cake or at least I wish I didn't know he was because I just can't enjoy the films hes in, I get so irritated just seeing his face.

He's not bad in Oblivion, he's just got this look on his face for most of the film that looks like someone has asked him to divide 3847 by 23 in his head.

Haha, I may make an exception and give this a watch. Not a fan of Daniel Craig either but loved Layer Cake.
