Such an odd show tbh. I watch it and look forward to it and then cringe through like 80%. The old dude Masterson and Daniels make up for it though.

Finished the 3rd episode and I get what you mean. Overall I really like it but theres aspects I fucking hate so much. Firstly that stupidly cliched rom-com love story bullshit needs to stop. Its almost identical to the storyline of the US Office, plus the 'nice guy' looks like Jim Halpert and is called Jim Harper.. UNCANNY. I expect that sort of shit in the US Office, but not in a HBO drama.

Also Emily Mortimer pulls off some absolutely dreadful acting at times, so forced and over the top.. It really makes the scenes where they try and be serious quite awkward and cringy.

Apart from that its good lol

I really enjoyed the first season of Newsroom (although I agree with the above criticisms) but I just couldn't get any further into S2 than, what, third episode. Does it get better/more interesting? I just found myself going "nah, I don't really care about this show anymore"

Briliantly spotted. Unbelievable really. I think both are fine as actors, but yeah the stereotype aspect of using a character like that in a show like this, is embaressing.

It's hilarious when you notice stuff like that though, mechanisms almost.
I swear neither Bruce Willis or Tom Cruise has played a character that doesn't have a first name that is one syllable and a last name that is two syllables.

You are just fortunate mate, she's the spitting behavioural image of a few of my parents friends and colleagues tbh. Drowned in academia and as such realistic.
Totally know what you mean though.

Haha that sounds dreadful.

Shes okay when shes acting normally, it seems natural.. but during the 'humorous' parts she knocks the volume up to 11 and comes across so forced.

Just finished the Osama episode, thought that was really good.. emotional, even for a Brit lol.

Just finished the 2nd season of newsroom, really enjoyed that series.. I liked that they changed from 1 story per episode to a continuous main story this time.

6th episode was probably the best of the show. The last episode was fucking shit, worst ending.. felt like I was watching scrubs.

Amazing.
Just watched this. Pretty intriguing, very different. I liked the style of it but wasn't mega in to it 3 episodes in, then it grabbed me. Might have to rewatch it. And how much does that woman look like Carey Mulligan / Michelle Williams. The 3 of them should get it on.
[+] Spoiler
I'm a bit confused about the resolution of the series, or maybe the point is that it isn't a resolution? I figured this was a stand-alone season but there's no closure.

Yeah, his sister's absolutely stunning :U:

Nah, they're doing a 2nd season, not entirely sure how I feel about that. Sure I want more episode but on the other hand I just hope they don't keep making it until it becomes shit like they do with so many great shows.

Aye. Don't want it going all Homeland. But I think there's a bit more to tell.

Finally got round to starting Breaking Bad, on the 3rd episode in a row. Really enjoying it from the off, despite people saying it's slow at the beginning. Not finding it slow at all!

It's not slow, just less mental I guess, and in many ways better.

Like how i've said breaking bad was overhyped, i bet breaking bad planned those sopranos comparison articles for the hype. wonder if house of cards is planning a similar move with game of thrones. we'll have to wait and see.
