The first release from Collie Connect Digital. Bodie's 808 Bangin' delivers a hood banger pulled together by mechanical edits and bass. A sure shot for any hip hop enthusiest who likes em grimey. Jesus Loves Dubstep is a psychedelic joy ride smashed out by d-Queue. The filthy bass work and constant tempo changes are gaurunteed to keep things moving.

'Chomp'

(Slime Recordings)

01.'Chomp' Original Mix
02. 'Chomp' Phaeleh Mix

Slime is a new record label dedicated to exploring the fertile ground opening up between genres, from a new global generation of producers pushing the boundaries of modern music.

Slime is very proud to present it's debut release courtesy of Bristol-based producer [sic]. After a decade working with drum 'n' bass, [sic] took a left turn into techno production recently with explosive results. Releases for labels such as Aux Technology have cemented his reputation as one to watch in the new breed of producers demolishing genre parameters.

For his first release with Slime, [sic] drops 'Chomp', an incredible hybrid of minimal techno, house and garage which will find favour with fans of these sounds and many more besides. A blend of skittering percussion, heavyweight beats and a serpentine bassline, 'Chomp' belies it's dancefloor credentials with a dark underbelly of ethereal FX and sinister chords. 'Chomp' seems precision-tooled to exist outside of genre confines, so will be perfect for dropping in all manner of sets whatever your stylistic persuasion.

On the digital flip, dubstep mastermind Phaeleh takes time out from running the awesome Urban Scrumping label to provide a total remoulding of the original's sound. The insistent bassline of the original has mutated into a hypnotic buzzing groove, wrapped around bone-crushing dubstep beats, shotgun FX and haunting pads for a dystopian ride to the darkside.

Slime - A little label for loud music.

If the early techno and generic rave sound coming from Holland in the 90s had died and got
by mistake in dubstep heaven, this would be its reincarnation today on Belgian territory.

This four headed monster comes from Belgium and contains besides the original 3 remixes from the other Stainage
members to add up some variation for good measure.
The original version sets the tone. Alchemyst melts in his pot of sound rave stabs and vox, layers them over a simple
yet crushing beat and adds enough low end pressure to make you shake and sweat in fear. Itʼs all about the bass and
the build-up in this tune and Alchemystʼs unmistakable signature sound.
BunZer0ʼs remix opts for a more twisted approach in the beat structure and plays with a mid-range bassline that will
get stuck in your head. Grimelock rearrange the tune and make the intro even more epic adding more tension and a
deadly sub. The bassline surgery is closed by Saviour whose version shifts from a trancey intro to break down towards
a tearout bassline driven dubstep banger that will undoubtedly rock any party.

Some reactions about the release :

« I've been dropping the Grimelock remix at every party, played it on the Seclusiasis Radio show this
month..... plus put it in a couple studio mixes. He absolutely smashed it on that one. One of the top tunes of
2010 so far.
» (Starkey - Planet Mu - US)

« Deffinently feelin da vibes on da vocal track, Big forward>> And da Mid bass frequencies in the other two
tracks will keep da crowds skaankin for sure
» (Cotti - -30 Recordings - US)

« This release touches on all corners of dubstep, from eclectic to dubby roots. a great listen.»
(Secret Angel Gel - Bass Tourist - US)

« When I droped the Saviour RMX.. the place went offffffffffffff ! Also Saviour's version is my dancfloor
favourite ! All rmxes are sounding very powerfull and tight.. Just how it should be ! Good work from all of
Stainage crew
! » (Twisted - Dutty Dubz Crew - DE)

« Good mix of hype, dub, grime. Should go well ».(N-Type - Wheel & Deal - UK)

« BunZer0ʼs remix is the best of the 4, the rhythms are interesting / more angular, and overall more of a
focused, tight groove with the bassline.
» (Combat Records)

« Had a good listen, the BunZer0 + Saviour remix are sticking out more for me so bigup !
The Saviour remix really smacks it and the guy defo needs more attention
». (DJ Madd - HU)

« Afterdark has supported the orginal Alchemyst - Let The Bass Drop and has been waiting for the remixes
since we played with Bunzero in Geneva @ Dub to Dubstep! All tracks have featured and are still being
supported on our weekly show on sub.fm Donʼt sleep, catch this meaty release !
» (Itchy Robot/ Afterdark -
SubFM - UK
)

« Stainage is coming through hard with this latest one. The original knocks in the club, gets the bodies
moving & the remixes provide some extra flava for the switchup. Big up the Belgian crew on this
one
!» (Innerlign - Airtight Imprint - US)

« Liking the Bunzero Rmx, nice combination of hardcore stabs and the 03-05 sound with tighter production ».
(Rob Sparx - Z Audio - UK)

JUNE MILLER - BRUSSEL NORTH EP

With remixes from Wascal and Asa

The Brussel North E.P due for release early May has already been causing a stir in the underground Dubstep scene, the stripped back debut release from June Miller includes tracks Brussel North, a smooth tropical sounding track and Shizgara – a deep hard hitting roller that is guaranteed to smash the dancefloor. Included with the original material comes remixes of Brussel North from Bristol legend Wascal, who’s 2-Step influenced remix is an excellent twist on the original - and a beefed up version from Asa, a rapidly rising star in the scene. This solid E.P is definitely one for the record box as 54Music Dub introduce some of the hottest talent around.

NEW on HEADHUNTER's new TRANSISTOR imprint:

Image

There’s been much buzz surrounding this second release from Headhunter’s seminal Transistor imprint. Following the tremendous success of the first release (“Night Dive”), there are some high expectations, and this record delivers! “Give” is a heady tune that combines gorgeous atmospheric techno with a dark dubstep underpinning. Beautiful chant-like vocals mingle with sinister, but subdued basslines, snare stabs, and a driving 4/4 beat. “Venus Project” shifts the territory into a more active direction with spacious broken 2-step beats, snarling bass, and haunting vocal samples – but a deep and subtle structure carries through. BIG!

2. Ruckspin, Quantum Soul - Venus Project

DUBSWORTH "LOOKY HEAR"
Cat number BRAPD004
Release date MAY 18th, 2010

Image

BRAP DEM! Recordings present a new 2 track release from DUBSWORTH (SPIT BROS-SF). Daniel DUBSWORTH is a classically trained musician that has been making waves globally with his Dubstep productions and his live Dubstep band the SPIT BROS.

LOOKY HEAR is a hard hitting, dubby, hip-hop influenced kicker. Clean subs boom at the first drop with a rocking riff that leaves room for the funky melody to come. A massive second drop driven by ascending and descending clean subs create the peak of the song laced with high end psychedelic effects and drum fills.

ROLL ON is a growly hard roller combining the dance floor and musical insight of both DUBSWORTH and DZ. Creepy melodies sing through the intro giving way to a pulsing sub complimented by distorted hard growls. The drums are hard and heavy with loads of electro highs and the signature edits of both the artists rolling it on home with a busy finish.
