Chali 2na is one of the tightest MCs ever and the same thing he said about J5 could apply to any other turn-of-the-century popular "alt" hip-hop (Mos Def, Roots, Dilated Peoples, QN5), or even to the Native Tongues crew and especially the Wu-Tang Clan. Hieroglyphics, Project Blowed, Solesides and the Likwit Crew would've had the same type of fans if they were just slightly more successful. But way before J5 had any radio hits, they were doing shows with all those guys. Think most of them even met each other at the Good Life Cafe's open mics which was basically the place that laid the foundation for So-Cal underground hip-hop.

I also don't like anything Jurassic 5 has done since Cut Chemist left (and agree about the fans tbh), which I'm pretty sure was after Power in Numbers. I like Quality Control more as well.
