Because Matthieu has scored against Real two times in a row (Valencia) and because Enrique wants to have three tall defenders for set pieces. I think Matthieu is certain for the starter now so it's Alba that has to compete with Pique in a way, and Matthieu has been pretty good attacking. I'm surprised at how good Matthieu has been but you are right in that Pique has been shit (maybe three season now actually :? )...

Clasico was awesome! Marcelo had such a good game. Real were so so good to watch with their passing, movement and counter-attacking. Should have been more than 3!

Was watching a stream with that weird commentator again (be-in sports i think) who, not satisfied with calling Ronaldo 'the dark invader', started referring to Benzema as "the big benz".

Hahaha yess! He's fucking mental. I also like how everything is 'superlative'
His response to Neymar's goal today was just incredible: "remember kids, don't ask for a Neymar for christmas, he'll put your eye out""

Because you were sort of suggesting it wasn't what they bring but what they happen to run into, that was the deciding factor.
With the very specific high pressure way they play, it doesn't matter a whole lot who they play, is my point.

But it seemed like you were selling arsenal short out of being dissapointed and tbh before the games began the group didn't look that weak either.. you might be right eventually ... but liverpools group is similar and there's others aswell..

Or they might just be doing a Benitez' Liverpool, only able to motivate themselves for European nights. Arsenal were awful in that first game though and Galatasaray are poor at the moment even by their own standards
