@SMOR3S I feel that it gets repetitive at the drop but it's your track brother, I personally feel a little variation to make it more glitchy would totally blow shit out of the waters, I really love your mixdown and synth work. Maybe add more synths that utilize a bandreject or notch filter? maybe some vowel eqs to add extra character? Or maybe add different lfos and resonate signatures to your exising tracks. Overall a sick track bro, keep it up man

Ada – cool dnb, like the melodies and instruments but it sounds a bit flat to me. Like there’s some range of freqs that seem kinda absent. Have you A/Bed this to a prof. track?

Smor3s – like the gritty sound of the lead and drums, not my cup of tea in terms of genre haha but I can definitely appreciate the song. Nice breakdown, don’t think there’s any major flaws in the mix… the kick sounds just a little too quiet but that might just be my headphones…

Mass aphekt – quality work, the vocals seem a little uhh feminine to me but it works pretty well. Good melody work and the mix sounds pretty damn close to perfect. I wish the kick had a little bit more weight if you get what I mean. I want the kick to really slap hard, right now its kinda just gracefully poking through the mix (a little too reserved IMO).

Here’s a reggae thing I spent a few minutes on…. Feedback is appreciated as I am mixing on bose headphones..

@Mass aphekt Thanks buddy! :) Any ideas how I can make that drop hit a bit better / make it more lively?

@SMOR3S - Really loving this dnb tune man! That mix down fucking rules.
@mtl6 - Sounds really clean just a bit repetitive is all. The tune that i'm working on right now is really reggae influenced as well so we're in the same boat haha. A really good thing to do is at the beginning maybe solo that reggae skank/the horn line and drop in the drums after a few bars or so.
@AcidRat make the drums a lot softer before the drop so that when it finally does drop the drums come in pounding, giving you a harder drop.

Here's the track i'm working on right now. Stoked for some feedback! :)

@mtl6: Sounds like a soundtrack to a Donkey Kong game... The production is fine, it's just the melody gets really repetitive quick :3

@Quasi118: Loving the piano pluck dude, how did u make that? The track is really cool overall, needs more stuff to make it sound fuller, but it has a really nice minimal trap vibe... Very Reggae too... Your Kick and Snare could pop more, and also your main growl bass could use more high end, or distortion... Try something like Camel Phat, or Driver if you haven't already...

New Random Electrohouse Banger, that I started working on this morning...

SMOR3S- Really isn't my genre of music, firstly. I would say your main chunky synth sounds way hollow for my tastes, but it's cool, overall everything sounds good, needs some equalization, that's all I got.

Quasi- this is sick dude, for real, I just want to hear this finished, haha.

Mtl6- I like your drums, the sub is sick, overall this track is sick but I feel like the backing melody needs work, as it does get pretty repetitive,

i updated my reggae song with a better melody (imo) let me know what you think.... Soundcloud

kes-es: holy shit not what i was expecting. very unique sound and its growing on me. i think this would sound really hot with a rap acapella chopped over it. like it needs some crazy hook to repeat over and over again...

smor3s: damn that bass noise is crazy. this is a pretty sexy song i just think it could use some subtle changes at the end of every 2 bars or 4 bars or whatever. like a new synth/bass noise to give it some variation. cool so far though

quasi: liking the reggae vibe. i just think the sub bass could play at a faster rate like maybe incorporate some eighth notes to change up the pace a little...

Kes-Es - I think it sounds a little raw, and definitely needs some more fx on the over all sounds. It's definitely a cool style though, trapish dubstep. I'm not really a fan of the hard style sounding stuff in the beginning though, it's a bit much for my taste.

mtl6 - I like it man, it's got a nice easy listening flow to it, doesn't ever get overbearing, one suggestion I would give is to maybe change it up a bit more, with breakdowns and other synths. Besides that I enjoyed it :D

Kes-es - really dope, gabba is the steezzz.. some more complexing, but rally dope choon

mtl6 - nice chill vibe, really relaxing - might need more punch, and a bit less repitive

chaotix - nice work, sounds pretty thought-through. dope!

@mtl, nice track. i thought the mixdown was pretty good but at 1:12 it seemed to get just the slightest bit loud. the sub bass could also be brought down a tiny bit but it honestly fits as it is pretty well. good work.

@quasi, i thought your little clip was pretty neat. i would maybe put more emphasis on the drop, and maybe cut out the highs of that mid bass. other than that, maybe slap some reverb on those plucks in the intro so they sound less dry.

@smores, definitely some good ideas here. at certain points i had to question the mixdown because the track itself is pretty loud and has some harsh highs. i really liked the sound selection though, :4:

@kes-es, i would definitely bring down those bass stabs, they are dominant i the mix, i like the space when it drops though. fresh ideas and the bubbly sound is cool. i also dig the vocal glitches, but overall i think it could use some progression (build ups, foreshadowing, etc)

alrighty guys, i just recently started producing on a very old laptop i had sitting around because my main pc crashed, causing me to lose all of my samples/music :(

either way im glad to be making music again, lemme know what you think!

@chaotix: sweet tune! the vocal is perfect, feel like the whole mix could be a little bit brighter and maybe a bit heavier in the bottom as well. a good ol' smiley EQ!

@mtl6: love a bitta reggae, but this needs moar bassweight. is that a straight sine you're using for the sub or..? could definitely be louder anyway, that's what that kinda music is all about. perhaps a bit more staccato-ey on the bass as well, you could try adding a very fast downward pitch envelope to your sub and play short notes and it'll be nice and plucky. imo of course. the melodies are lovely.

@Kes-es: yes boi! awesome. love the switch up. give this one a bit of love and glitch the bejesus out of it and it'll be a winner. that 808 is weighty!

@acidrat: greetings my fellow Irishman. your intro sounds kinda outta tune tbh man, in fact the whole tune sounds a bit out of tune. that guitar is just not working with the vocal at all for me. when it does drop it lacks impact completely and when that guitar comes back in I groan a little bit. not trying to be harsh or anything, but that guitar is seriously grating me. ctrl+del that shat! will check out your other tunes in a bit though!

@Smor3s: getting used to seeing your name around man, the electro housey one is cool. not my cup of tea at all musically but the mix/production is sweet. followed you on soundcloud for what it's worth, will be keeping an eye out for ya!

Here's my one.. been working on this one for aaaages. Since.. October? Left it down for a few months and came back to it there a few days ago, I actually posted a version a few days ago and got some feedback and took that feedback on board so would love a bit more now that I've sweated and blooded and cried into a bit more. The first 3/4 minutes I am pretty much set on, the last drop I feel is still a bit meh but I have been listening almost non-stop for the last 2 or 3 days so a new set of ears would be much appreciated. (Smor3s you got a go of this one last time around, said I owed you a new sub so let's see what the damage is this time haha!)

Don't really have a WIP but I listened to your tune MassAphekt and I gotta say it's sounding pretty good. Although I do think you could probably step it up a bit. I feel that for the build before the drop it's a little bit empty in the higher frequencies. The synth carrying the melody isn't really big enough tbh and I feel a lot of that is because there's not enoug high end, it's not bright enough. Not that it's bad but, y'know. Maybe bring up the unison in the synth, put some detune on it, layer it with some noise (bright noise if you're using massive, or pretty high-passed white noise so it's not as harsh), and then I'd check your ADSR and give it a little bit of attack and decay so that it pops a bit more. Good work though man, not enough love for dnb these days.

Kas-Es, i love that sampled feeling track, really good stuff

SMOR3S - the percussion is a bit intrusive, try turning it down and panning it alot right and left. To me it feels like it needs to be more 'glued together' if you know what i mean. maybe try a different kick, or try side chaining everything at the same/different ratio.

Quasi118- feels like the kick should hit harder, im not on my monitors atm but I can't really tell if the kick is actually hitting during the wobbles, try turning up the kick and sidechaining more aggresively.

mtl6 - sounds really smooth, i like it, to me it gets a little repetitive though, maybe thats just the genre though- im more into the brosteppy kind of stuff

MassAphekt- man those vocals are really addictive, really like it. i feel like the snare/clap should hit a little bit harder, it seems to distant, maybe try less reverb. also not really feeling the solo thing that goes on @ around 2:13, maybe its just the synth.

heres a dubstep/brostep track ive been working on for a while. would love some feedback, what do you guys think of the vocals?

@MikeyThomas alright buddy :) Whereabouts in Ireland you from? Thank you for the feedback, I think your tune is pretty fuckin chill haha. Like the vibes man! Do check out my other stuff if you have the time, as I'm sure you might find something you like :)

@mtl6 hah diggin this man its super chill! Thats brass you got in there right? If I am right, I would recommend making it a little deeper, but thats me, keep on keepin on anyways :)

@lonelyturtle Production sounds good on this, it's pretty cool not my style personally, but the production is pretty sweet :)

Here is my newer song, House kinda style, thoughts appreciated!

@MikeyThomas Ive always wanted to go to Ireland. Good vibes on your tune man how many hours have you spent on it?

@mtl6 hah Good stuff I like what I'm hearing. Maybe a little heavier? Who knows just my opinion.

@lonelyturtle The vocals are from a 501 song. I didn't like the song much, maybe a more catchy rhythm could help? Idk

@acidrat Cool idea man, that wobble needs some variation though, some personal flare. It kind of sounds like a wobble preset. Keep it up!

Here's my WIP, it's about 15 hours in but a long way to go still. I need some advice on my arrangement/transitions. I like the melodies and drum patterns but having a hard time stretching it out and making it progress smoother. Any advice?

@Ratcub
I'm in love with this tune, man. The snare and sax are perfect, and I can't really say anything bad about it! Big ups.

@Acidrat
I can't say I'm crazy about this track. First off, the first thirty seconds is just a loop, and those rides kind of annoy me. I like the main synth sound, but it needs some work. And the track itself also needs some work.

@Duuuuuuuurrrrr
I like the intro, evem though it's short as fuck. Anyway, the midrange synths are standard brostep fare, and the flow of the tracks sounds awkward to me sometimes. With some work it could be a good track though.

@SMOR3S Really love the design behind this sound but I would try and get rid of some of the bitcrushing behind it, other than that great stuff

@Kes-es Digging this speedcore/gabber vibe dude and the way it drops right into trap is just awesome

@lonelyturtle This really has some potential but it mostly just needs some quantization on that bassline and I would change that snare. Something louder with reverb that will pop through that filthy bass, oh and maybe some compression on that kick to beefen it up

This is a track I started a few weeks ago but haven't really been adding to it. The track is far from finished and all feedback is accepted

@ RATCUB: Sweet drums here, love the snare.Proper reggae vibes. But wheres the bassline???
@WOLFBLOOD: This one needes better mixdown, interesting vibe tho,fix it and it will sound huge
@SMOR3S: Not my type of sound, but it has energy for sure.Try working on transitions more, create better tension,so it will drop harder.

Heres my tune.
