Not sure about Riquelme, he never really did it at a top team
Definitely.. only because of his style
It's like a lot of the time there's not a purpose to what he does... it's just spectacular for the sake of being extra ... like this lol
Villareal was like a mini arsenal for a minute where they would get through to the quarter finals a few times in a row ... the team with Forlan returning and Sorin and Cani.. comming up from I think the second division in one go.. great team back then

Finally some fucking coherence i here. Xavi is as good

But thats' my point Xavi is slightly better because he's older and has had more influence but I would rather watch Iniesta 10 out of 10 times. .. but it's a different discussion imo ... I totally get the appeal of Zidane but he's much closer to Guti or Ginola than people will admit...
Riquelme was a top player you cant say je wasnt in a big team as a excuse. He took villareal, a team of a village of 20.000 people to vhampions semifinal

Hubb you have some edgy football opinions is alriggt i think you have a point. People often take zidane as one of their fav players(including myself) more because he was the most class player ever more than his real yield. Xavi is the best midfield i have seen ever and by old people opinion in here is cruyff

Bit late to the discussion here, but Cahill's goal at the WC would have my vote for the Puskas Award. Absolutely amazing to track a cross like that and hit it with power AND precision.
Although I'm surprised David Cotterill's goal against Nottingham Forest didn't make it in.
Iniesta and Xavi are great. cant separate them myself. they should be regarded in the greatest midfielders ever bracket. motherfuckers won everything. Messi's career would not have been as good as it has been without those two
I said at the time I preferred Cahill's goal to Rodriguez, I think it's harder technique when you have to watch the ball in the air for so long. The James one was more instinctive
