the smart thing about GoT is how everyone's taste gets adressed with one plot or the other. one of them bores me to death, sure, but the others just make up for it. I'm pretty sure you'll know wheather or not you're into the series by the end of season one.magma wrote:Ok, I have to admit, GoT is compelling TV after watching 5 episodes... I'm just hoping they keep enough of the fantasy shit in their pants as things rumble on. This whole "winter is coming" thing makes it sound like things could go downhill fast, but for the moment it's a really rather excellent mash up of British medieval/dark ages mythology with a healthy serving of the Wars of the Roses. The confused legends of ancient dragons, everyone having their own theories is actually really smartly done and feels pretty authentic, but I have a nasty feeling their going to ruin it by showing an actual dragon at some point.southstar wrote:I think it's not the series for you
Joffrey is excellent.
The smart thing about GoT is ist's based ona book series that has been going for over a decade for this season. I hate people who whine about spoilers when the book for this season was avail over a decade ago. Spoilers this whole season is full of death read the fucking books. next week will be a better shocker than joffrey's wedding. once again read the fucking books.Jurkhands wrote:the smart thing about GoT is how everyone's taste gets adressed with one plot or the other. one of them bores me to death, sure, but the others just make up for it. justified is awesome as well as the new ali g show for comedy.therapist wrote:Oh yeah, caned through Eastbound and down in like 4 days. Quality. Yeah it dipped in series 3 for a bit but still had its moments. Quality ending.
Is Justified quite dry or has it got laughs? I'm assuming Shane Vendrell will be funny.
it slows down after it, The Wire is awesome watch Carnivale after it and wonder why it got cancelled, The Black Donnely's is great as well.Nihilism wrote:The third season of The Wire is so far the best season of the series, but i still have to watch the last two seasons. Will it be better or is this the peak?
