Safe, and i just played the first sequence of Assassins Creed 3, i'm not sure i'm going to love this setting tbh.
I'm really, really not into American history at all, i was hoping this one would be set in the Far East or Victorian England or something.
But i've only played the first sequence so who am i to judge just yet, could be interesting but that time and place is just rather boring to me.
Also, i can't really follow the "real life" plot too well as i haven't played Brotherhood or the one after that, and i vaguely remember the plot for 2.
But i look forward to playing more.

Assassins Creed games are notoriously bad in terms of CPU optimisation on PCs.

Mofuckin counter-strike. Still easily the best game.

Took me 5 minutes to find some good servers, after not playing for 2-3 years.

This one was actually done nicely, but it also utilizes DX11 and is gonna be sluggish on older systems/gfx cards.

if you're on windows 7 go to your start menu and search bar, type dxdiag and that should give you all the specks you need

is there any information i can tell you from the diag that you could use to help me see if it is DX being the problem?
it says im using 11

if dx is the problem then chances are you won't personally be able to do too much about it.
The nvidia website has some great tweaking guides on pretty much every game out there though, I would recommend checking it out!

My recommendation would be to turn down all the settings then start adding them back in one by one until you find out what specific graphical feature is causing problems.

its almost always something to do with either physx or with draw distances

there's only three setting in the game menus - normal, high, very high, i can probably configure them through a txt file if i find it?
it most definitely probably is the draw distance as it slows in the busy environments or when on top of buildings. Which is 90% of the game.

i have an AMD Radeon but i'll check it out, thanks

The only time I ever had stutters in the AC games I had it was due to sloppy netcode and the game trying to contact their servers, I just blocked the ip addys for them and it fixed for me.

Played DoW2 Retribution again recently, such a sick game. DoW2 + expansions are the best single player RTS experience out there imo, purely because of the RPG elements.

On GTA4 for the 3rd time atm.
DoW2 and DoW2:Chaos Rising are THE best RTS games I have played since I fell in love with Red Alert 2 when I was younger. Your units feel so incredibly powerful but the game never gives you an easy time either. Nowt better than tearing up half the screen with explosions on those games :D

Yeah, CS is still the shit.
Pretty much only play that and sometimes COD4 and Battlefield 3 when I want something different.

Playing on console though  (I know!)

What makes me come back to 1.6 is how natural the gameplay feels. The movement and shooting etc.
People playing the game kind of evolved within it. Moving faster, jumping further and whatever.
Quite cool.

There's still servers where people compete in who can jump the furthest

When I had my old pc, Assassins Creed was one of those games that ran well.
New pc it runs superbly well.
Not sure where you get this info from?
