The "friendzone" doesn't exist and people should stop using the phrase.

It's a truly asshole-ish construct that probably was started by idiots in Fedora's with no fucking ability to talk to women who can't understand the concept that just because you are "a nice guy" to a girl doesn't mean they immediately should fuck you. In fact the "I'm a nice guy" thing is bullshit. You aren't a nice guy if somehow you think that a girl owes you sex just because you think you're somehow not a tnuc. Especially if you then complain about to people like they did something wrong. Like seriously it seems to be a phrase used to bad mouth someone just because they don't return your interest, which they don't remotely have to do anyway.

That or you just didn't show any interest in the first place and then it's your fault too. In that case the phrase isn't as offensive, but it's still just blaming someone else for the fact you're fucking useless with women

If you have to explain to someone that you've been friends with someone for years and it's too established like that so therefore it's never gonna turn out that way then just say that. It doesn't sound accusatory and can go both ways with out making you sound like some tnuc on who spends time complaining about girls on the internet

Isn't that just called "being friends" though? Surely if it's mutual, nobody is put in any zone.

Also, the Friend Zone was always my least favourite part of crystal maze. Future Zone was much better.
