I'm Adam. I live in Bristol. I'm not a producer or DJ but I do write and play music in live bands.

Been going to clubs and raves since the early 90s, was massively into jungle / drum & bass and to a lesser extent house, UK garage, Detroit techno and breakcore.

Discovered dubstep in 2004/5 when Krys Forensics started sending me mixes and then became obsessed with it after the MAH dubstep warz thing. Best music scene in the world.

I'm over 30 and married with a kid but can't give it up.

Ello peeps! i guess im a newcomer then!

my names Glen, living in watford (shithole), been making tunes for fucking ages, aand been hearing dubstep for a while but only really started getting into it quite recently. i usedd to like a few bits and bobs here and there but at first too much of its sounded like the dodgy jump up d&b that i hate (i come as a disillusioned d+b head really). recently started hearing some really interesting dubstep, really liking a lot of the deeper and more experimental vibes (esp. boxcutter, 2562, etc). ive recently started making dubstep rather than d+b sort of stuff which i used to do, mainly because i feel theres a lot of scope for interesting stuff and taking elements from other genres - and as its quite a fresh scene people aren't as afraid of new ideas as in a lot of other stuff.

safe!

Really happy i found this site with the help of you dubstep fans i hope to find out who/what i should start listening to in the wonderful world of dubstep. Also from Australia :)

Signed up so long ago but forgot I was a member!

I'm from Exeter in Devon. Been producing various things since I was 15 and started DJing a couple of years ago. I DJ at Mystery's Deep End nights http://myspace.com/thedeependmystery and guest on http://southwestunderground.net radio every now and then.

Recently got some dubs cut and played by DJs down here which is all good! And i'm playing at Beach Break Live this year which i'm really excited about.

Nice one

ohhhh hey

Hi people,
Just getting back in to bedroom dj'ing and making my own mixes for in the car after 10 years away from the scene.
I wouldn't say dubstep is my prefered choice, I likes my hardcore breaks, but its nice to throw some big wobbly beats into a mix.
All you producers keep up the good work!!

My name is Kent and I am from New Zealand. Over the last 3 years my musical tastes have expanded although I have primarily been listening to stoner rock/metal, doom metal, drone and southern rock; anything heavy with a groove really. Alot of the dubstep I have heard fits that mold so it is great.

I signed up to this forum to find local gigs and connections in Christchurch. Oh I also play drums but lately have been playing around with different software and making bass wobbles, just for a laugh really but it is good fun. Cheers.

'ello folks, I'm Dan or Lovergoat(probably need to work on a better name).

I was introduced to dubstep some time ago now and thought it about time I quit writing comedy DnB and breakcore and concentrated on something a little darker, though I couldn't help resist just one comedy dubstep track(see JtotheAtotheFtothedoubleOL on my myspace for some fonejacker shenanigans).

I just do this stuff for my own amusement really, but if others get to hear it then so much the better. This seems like a great place to get tips, feedback and maybe find some potential collaborators to fill in the gaps where my tunes are a bit lacking.

What up forum, I'm a long-time drum+bass DJ from Philadelphia who's recently acquired a serious affinity for dubstep. Really feelin' the spacier, more abstract sounds- that's where my tastes lie in d+b as well. I've only just started buying dubstep tunes, but I'm incredibly enthused about this stuff, will probably be doing serious damage to the ol' bank account building up my collection in the next few months. Big up.
