Not sure how that argument would be any different to "not all black people are in a gang but things like this do nothing to enforce those pre-conceived notions. Now obviously it's not ALL black people but at the same time if it looks like a duck and it quacks, it's probably a duck"

It's a dumb view and anyone that subscribes to the view is dumb, and reeks of a partisan attempt to paint a group of what is likely millions of people on the actions of a small group.

Completely agree with Muncey.

What im saying is that its a problem for all clubs these days, but if you have a fanbase known for being racist this shit doesnt help fix that image.

Doesn't mean it's not dumb to think like that though. Just that a lot of people are dumb.

What I'm saying is its not a problem for all clubs these days; its a problem in all aspects of society. You have fucking morons in all walks of life, minorities of radicals in all social groups, extremists and extreme views in all areas. From the playground, to the workplace, to football fans at the pub.. if you wanna treat this problem as a football problem and particularly one of the Chelsea fanbase then in my opinion you have absolutely no interest in the issue of racism. You just wanna have a dig at opposing fans.

If you do have an interest in racism and wanna discuss and debate the racist incident that occurred you really have to see the bigger picture and not treat this as some isolated incident that has a solution ONLY inside football... just like 99% of people have been including almost ever media mention of this. Radio 1 have just been talking to fucking football fans all day; I know its easy to call Radio 1 morons but they're huge and its absolutely ridiculous imo.

Do you think its that far fetched that these absolute mongers could potentially exist in most teams fan base? Even if its the odd one or two? If you don't think thats totally far fetched then the argument its a problem with X teams fanbase goes completely out the window.

I see your point, it doesn't help the image of the team.. but why the fuck are we that fixated on that image of the team as if thats the issue? Its not, I repeat.. its a social issue.. it isn't isolated to sport, football or Chelsea.

I don't completely agree, though you are bringing spot on points, muncey.

I reckon you could say that theres' a tradition in some clubs ( via supporters, club people) that actively allow this negative breeding ground. You can't just say the association isn't there. There's a correlation between being a hooligan and being a racist hooligan in the context of this club. If you are a hardcore supporter in this club it might be likelier that you have racist tendecies or whatever.

But this doesn't ruin your good points either.

The Telegraph's preview of the upcoming football on TV this week is amazing:
Falkirk v Rangers (19.45), Scottish Championship, BT Sport 1 VM 547 / 549 HD, 19.30
Our weekly chance to check on what chaotic nonsense has befallen Rangers and what havoc Mike Ashley has managed to wreak north of the border in the last seven days carries us to a Friday night in Falkirk. Inevitably all the coverage, and most of the crowd, will be interested in the UK's most farcical club (settle down fans of Leeds and QPR, you've got nothing on these guys) but spare a thought for Falkirk who used to yo-yo up and down out of this league quite a bit before they suddenly found Hearts, Hibs and Billy Smart's Travelling Circus joining them at the second tier.
Currently fifth, Falkirk have a great chance to claim a famous win here given how abysmally Rangers are playing football, conducting their business, tending to their gardens and everything else besides.

Whoever writes these is killing it
Norwich City v Ipswich Town (14.05), Championship, Sky Sports 3 VM 504 / 514 HD, 14.00
Now you could, you could, watch Arsenal v Everton at this time. So if shiny new stadiums/concert venues with padded seats, where the half time buffet often keeps the huge swathes of corporate areas empty long into the second half and the pitch is immaculate and the tippy tappy midfielders are tippy tappying about while the fans sit quietly and occasionally interrupt their discussions about basement conversions and comparisons of Montessori schools with polite applause is your thing then, absolutely, be my guest.
Or you could treat yourself two 90 minutes of gratuitous violence and throwing things, occasionally interrupted by football, from two half decent teams who genuinely hate each other. Mick McCarthy, spending nothing, has Ipswich in the play-off places while Norwich, who recently appointed 33-year-old Hamilton player boss Alex Neil as their new gaffer and have strung three wins together in quick succession since, are roaring up behind them.
You may not be able to talk to that bloke in the lift who works in media about it on Monday morning, but you couldn't slide a rocket and crayfish sandwich (artisan bread) between second and seventh in the Championship at the moment and this should be fierce stuff.
